Now that is a proper trophy!

20 years ago, David Coulthard accomplished one of his best drives, battling Michael Schumacher every lap to win his second Monaco Grand Prix.

Ah so that's the hoped for rumoured future track extension:p.
I am in Portofino was thinking of going to see practice tomorrow but not keen at all to face crowds on the local train and in MC. Anyway it seems there are no tickets left, I feel relief actually but planning on going to the Austrian GP at Zeltweg in July:).

I don't recall Mick ever being 2sec off the pace in relation to his team mate.....given that Massa was a bit faster than Mazepin but still, 2 sec???

F1 lost the plot when the major manufacturers started calling the shots.

As somebody who has driven three different F1 cars I can tell you that driving them is not all that hard. Driving them competitively is however. I'm fairly good at go karts but moving something like a F1 on the limit is way beyond me.

Good point. Still I would hate to see the Monaco GP not be on the calendar. We enough soul lacking tracks as it is.

I think even the V10s cars where absolutely spectacular in Monaco.
Pirelli always brings the softest tyre here.

Have they ever thought of bringing the hardest? Or perhaps a Monaco Special compound, essentially the intermediate but with the C3/C4 rubber? Less grip may be the short term answer...

All the drivers you noted won in many other classes. Maston Gregory was held in awe by Jim Clark for instance... he won LeMans several times. in those days the world was not just F-1. same for Warwick, and even DeCrasheris....
