WHAAAAT!!!! 295 mph Fchat member/car owner Larry Caplin was the driver! https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/members/larryc.144440/ https://theworldsfastestcar.com/home/ Fully verified this time Redemption? (bout time ) .
Don't forget the car was badly banged up a year ago https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/147887774/ .
That is a third spring setup. Allows you to do two things. Control the ride height of the ride height at speed and allows you to run softer springs on the corners. Wat it works is simple. In bump or droop the two susp rockers rotate the same way, same amount. So the drop links off those rockers move fwd/aft in parallel. SO at speed, under aero load both rockers move as teh suspension squats. That pushes or pulls (designs differ) on the third spring, causing it to compress. So now you have three springs resisting the car squating. Thru clever use of kinematics, rocker ratios, third spring initiation point the third spring can get very stiff in a very short amount of travel. By adjusting everything just right you can get the third spring to go very solid at a specific car ride height. So at that point in time the car stops squatting-hence you have a fixed ride height that maximizes the aero from the tunnels. Now in a corner the rockers rotate opposite to each other. So the drop links from the rockers to the third spring attach to what is called a T-bar. The T bar center is attached to the third spring, but can rotate freely. The T bar has two ears, one for each drop link. So when the car is in a turn, the T Bar rotates but does not translate (much), so the third spring is never compressed-or much. In squat the drop links are both pulling equally on the t Bar so it does not rotate, just translates. Also this allows each corner spring to be a lot softer, enhancing mechanical grip, especially in one wheel curbing. Been in use on race cars since early 90's. I designed one of the first systems for an Indycar when i was with Rahals. Now some low cost SCCA race cars have them.
....... was hoping for owner/employee. it's been pretty quiet on the content/news side. https://www.sscnorthamerica.com/ https://www.instagram.com/ssc_northamerica/?hl=en https://www.facebook.com/SSCNorthAmerica/ https://www.youtube.com/@SSCNorthAmerica/videos Image Unavailable, Please Login .
The SSC Tuatara Striker was "unveiled" in 2021. They've had a Grey/Red/Black ones on their Social feeds for months. That's if the renders are accurate. They are irrelevant. They need more production of the high speed models to legitimize their claim as "World Champions". There is zero proof of any second model or any homologation paperwork files anywhere. EPA/Crash testing. The car has ZERO provenance and the only number plates ever seen on it are owned by SSC North America. Dealer plates. They currently the VBox Champions. Guinness World Records wouldn't touch that claim with a barge pole and the owner needs to stop trash talking other hypercar manufacturers who are WAY ahead in the curve.
Do you want to show me where the catalytic converters are? You'll call the fully WORLD homologated crash tested EPA certified multi production model delivered Pininfarina Battista a "kit car?" LOL! I don't think so! Legitimately independently tested and verified? Did their clocks suddenly read 331MPH? Touch some grass.
. how much time do you think it takes to cover 1/2 mile going 300mph? .......... someone do the math please. (it's been too many years since I had to figure out "If a train left Chicago ........) .
I don't need to do anything? Racelogic and Jerod Shelby stated what the extra 5MPH would take to do and published it in the official 295MPH report. It wasn't HALF a bloody mile kid! But Thanks for stopping by.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqQj5ktufqQ/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= The exhaust device of the first ssc tuatara striker looks amazing. Time will tell. SSC has only begun their feat, and more is yet to come. After that terrible controversy, they are still trying to show their abilities to the public. Before the dust settles, we need to give them some trust. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That exhaust has nothing to do with SSC. It's Zanders "Z pipe" and his technology and his patented designs. Smh. And trust? No bloody chance. I'm in because of the designer. Put his name in the trash.
Isn't this exhaust installed on ssc tuatara striker? Koenigsegg regera uses Akrapovic exhaust, pagani uses amg engine, and the electrical system of Aston Martin Valkyria is provided by Rimac. Small manufacturers don't have enough money to manufacture all products, so they authorize other manufacturers to manufacture the products they want to achieve the best results, which is understandable. The record of 295mph is a fact. No matter how much you hate them, they are always moving forward.
