Robin- That is a new number. Have to write than one down.
I notice the high mileage manual 612 seems to have sold (well, the advert has disappeared anyway). Say "hello" if you're the new owner.
This has a very interesting interior with the red center console and seat backs. I have never seen that before. I wish they had shown the rear seat arrangement as well.
This was one of my 2 612 gated cars i owed in the past. Was a lovely example when i had it and I'm sure it still is. Interior was awesome.
Now offered for sale by a dealer in PA with 41,126 miles and asking price of $149,977. Listing includes 126 photos and makes the following claims: "Recent Service Has Been Performed At Ferrari Dealer In FL." "New Clutch Was Installed At Ferrari Dealer At 37K" "Always Serviced" "Professionally Cared For By Previous Owner" "All Service Is Up To Date"
There is a manual for sale at my local dealer. They are asking 240k CHF. https://www.nikihasler.com/en/Cars/355/Ferrari-612-Scaglietti-Manuale
This car has been at this dealer for almost a year, has anyone taken a look at it recently? They raised the price again for some reason, but hearing that it's in rough shape is a shame. There was a manual 612 at ferrari of houston that sold for 200ish but I missed out on a 612 at a merc in Orlando that was priced like an F1 by an hour or so and that was a shame.
Have a look at the video I linked a few days ago. It's a review of my manual swapped car from a guy that had recently drive an F1 car.
A very pretty and well preserved 04 manual 612 with just 24k miles sold well last week at auction in the UK, for £107.5k. Rosso Metalizzato over Crema it looks like. Just the car I would have bought had I still been in the market for one of these lovely cars. https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2022-05-21/cars/ref-112-2004-ferrari-612-scaglietti-dg/
Nice! I also happened to see this other auction today (did not sell): https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/dealtank-2005-ferrari-612-scaglietti-6-speed-manual/
Yeah, that one didn’t sell. High reserve I guess. The big money for cars is starting to dry up. Real estate is slowing down. It’s a hard rain gonna fall. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I can't say you're wrong. On the other hand, according to the old saw economists have accurately predicted six of the last five recessions. It is also the case that the market for three-pedal 612s is so tiny it is far from an efficient market. The same goes for any Ferrari with similar production numbers. Some data points that we do know about are that a 45K-mile three-pedal '05 612 sold for $205,000 on Bring a Trailer in July 2021, followed eight months later by a 15K-miler three-pedal '05 612 going for $289,000 on BaT in March 2022, about 90 days ago. Add $5K to each price for the buyer's premium. Now we have this 23K-mile three-pedal '05 with a RNM auction bid of $240,000. This car is now available on pcarmarket.com at a Buy Now price of $295,000. According to cargurus.com a San Diego dealer has a 7K-mile '05 on offer at $349,900. A Norwood, MA dealer has a 17K-mile '05 for $339,900. A Hollywood dealer has a 45K-mile '05 for $255,000. At $50,000 more than the August 2021 BaT car, this "high" mileage unit seems to be the lowest-priced 3-pedal 612 in the USA.
That Red 612 was indeed a Wil DeGroot conversion. I’ve been working with Wil for many years. In fact his very first conversion was a car that belonged to me. I was the Guinea Pig! Wil has noticed that many of the genuine Ferrari Parts used for the conversions have dried up btw. For example, you can no longer get the famous shift gate from Ferrari. There’s a poor reproduction coming out of India without the Cavallino that shops now have to source. My conversions have all been done with genuine Ferrari parts. It’s unlikely that future conversions will be done that way unless they buy a wreck. My car runs great and I intend to keep it for a long time so it’s relative value is not a concern of mine.
