Looks like the ball is rolling and it is actually going to happen!
My dealer (FOS) came through big time. From what I'm told, the work will be mainly done by the Classiche department at the factory and will have the "big red book" certifying that all work done has the factory stamp of approval. I'll get to enjoy the car a bit more this summer and then off it goes - will be gone for a long time but I think it'll be worth it! I've not nailed down the spec exactly, but one thing is for certain - the leather seats won't be matching. ;)

This is amazing and I am really thrilled for you! It would be great if you could document this aventure as much as possible on this thread, so that us mere mortals can have a glimpse of what a wonderful experience this must be. Congrats, you've won at life!

He likes them, and so it's ok: but the 599 really doesn't look nice at all to my eyes.

Usually Tailor made cars are very nice, but sometimes they are a disaster who looks nice only the the owner's eyes: I saw an 812 with a paint scheme that remebererd me a chess board with only four squares, outside and in the interior too.

Not always "unique" means "good looking".

    Ciao

Ferrari Classiche does this: send them the car and ask what you want, then you will have it back modified with the red book.

This process will always involve outsourcing like Zanasi (who is Ferrari official service and the official painting plant for tailor made cars) and so on.
The only problem is that is very expensive, but it will be Ferrari Official and certified on the red book you will be given.

The car must be here in Italy at Classiche department, of course

    Ciao

Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Very interesting thread here, I was considering adding racing livery to my F8 and changing the interior to a Tailor Made level of specification. I had discussions with Zanasi as several members here suggested and they were very helpful in putting together ideas in a short time. Asama is fantastic, I’ll share her details here, she speaks good English and coordinates everything.

I fantasize about doing what Dr. Kita did to his 599 [through Craig at Fast Cars] and having my F12 cut into a barchetta like a 275 NART.

Haha! I agree, this will be very painful at first. But I think once I see it in the flesh, all will be forgotten. As somebody recently said to me, “some things you can’t put a price on!”

Picture is confusing. Why are the aero-bridges and doors on the car after priming and before painting? Seems you can't do the door jambs and under the bridges if you are changing the paint. And even if you aren't the bridges should be removed which means doors off as well. The other question is where is the rear end? Looks like suspension and exhaust is gone.

Yes but why put the doors and the bridges on after primer and before paint? Looks like they are taping off for color coat.
