I am parting ways with my 2011 Ferrari Challenge Evo after many years of fun track days and podium finishes incl P1, P2 COTA, AutoClub, with SVRA, .

You will never find a cleaner, more sorted, dialed in, and ready to race Challenge car. I have owned it since 2015 and raced few times with SVRA, and one race with Ferrari Challenge. The car has been maintained by the top Ferrari Authorized Challenge team and has a large hitorsy of care. Currently 11k miles

Original sub frame, new injectors, coils, plugs, brake and air ducts, and brand new alignment and currently set up for Road America.
THEE best car to take for the Brain Redmond Race in Elk Carte Lake this July. if it snot sold by then, I will go there with it.

If you have had the privilege of driving a 458 vs a 488, its a no brainer. ( i have owned both at same time) 458 ALL the way.

Most notable with these cars, I have addressed every known issue including but not limited to
Newer FUEL Cell in 2020, replacement of the entire firewall via Ferrari dealership and recall 2 years ago.

No expense spared the entire time I have used the car.
brakes - I still run the Carbon Ceramics and will include a brand new front set of Carbon Rotors (8k) besides the rotors currently on the car at 50%. Also include spare set of brand new brake pads in the box.
Also included, spare set of wheels with like new mounted slicks and an extra set of new rain tires.
How about cool suit system to keep you cool and alert. $2500
Vbox system with HD cameras all installed and included with the car. $3000+
Data scenes from all over the USA.
I have extensive misc parts from spare bumper, undertrays, brackets, soft springs, hard springs, shocks, exhaust tips for Laguna Seca, large mouth fuel filler, and much more. I had her in my 355 when they used it on VIP. I tried to get into position for the money shot when she got out but I got shot blocked. Her honeymoon video told the story though! ;) :)

The 458 Challenge cars still perform well and sound incredible. Much better option IMO for track days vs a street car. Only downside is finding parts when you need them in a pinch. GLWS

My new gf is hotter, not as crazy, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Carzy is
I heard that when I bought the car 7 years ago and never had an issue. Not one. Taurino in FL has one of the largest parts selection. He has contacts in italy and always has stuff in stock. I found EBay to be a great source as well for discounted parts. There are 20 Ferrari Race teams all across America and they all have parts or have contacts to get them.

The guys who work on these cars all know how to get anything they need.

Take care of any race car off the track and it will take care of you on the track.

Depends on how much notice you have. My buddy had several issues including heat exchanger and CV recently and in each case they couldn't get the parts. Mind you these are at the Challenge events and the parts truck mostly carries 488 parts.

With all due respect, taking any Street car to the track is just insane. Lik bringing a spoon to a gun fight. I have a friend who died doing just that. Very well known, experienced driver and mechanic. He was there with a client and lost control in the sses and hit the wall. Just ask anyone who has a proper race/track car.
Street cars do not have the proper safety equipment for the track. Chassis, cage, belts, extinguisher, ect. I have gt2rs and 3rs and would never take either on the track. You will never learn to "properly" drive on the track in a Street car.

Also, there is no comparison to driving with slicks vs tread unless you want to do a summer cruise on a track, but then you become a danger to the other drivers on the track.

I do high 140's at Watkins. SAFELY No way any street car will do that without a pro at the wheel and even then, you would be hard pressed to find a pro driving a street car that fast on the track.

Jack - sorry - my comment was intended to be humorous about Pam Anderson's tits (per the photo posted) and whether or not she had wets, because those bumpkins in the picture were clearly slicks. Probably super softs.

I wish I could buy your car. My wife would flat out kill me. I went to my local dealer a few months ago to have a spare key made, and my wife told me "don't you dare buy another Ferrari". I walked in, and they had a beautiful low mileage Boxer. I mentally weighed things, and decided to not ask anyone about it.

    AWESOME!

For those of you who are wondering why I still use the carbon brakes...

Seriously, what sets this car apart from every other track car, besides handling and forgiveness in dry or wet, is the brakes. The 458 Challenge stops on the dime. Even when going 175mph on the front straight of RA or 165mh on Canada Downs...drive deep into the corner entrance, in a straight line...mash the brake pedal, hold on the steering wheel and the car will slow quicker than you can ever imagine. Plus, the red hot fire coming out is a real crowd pleaser.
I cant compare to steel because I never considered switching. I stick with what works but my buddies say they work well.

Thanks for that pic. I will be there again this July if car has not sold by then.
