Fully agreed. Brazil really was too wet to race. What pissed me (and I guess many others) off about that was that it was so obvious the race wasn't going to be started as a) more of the same rain was on the way and b) the track dries slowly in Spa, because of the trees give more shade and also they hold water which blows onto the track. They should've called that one off much earlier. There have been quite a few races since Bianchi's accident where the FIA overreacted with rain and safety, and refused to start/restart, and waited so long to start the race drivers actually went out on inters (and be competitive at that). If the tyres aren't up to scratch, dump Pirelli for being incapable of making tyres. If the visibility is bad, tough. Park up and sit it out. It wasn't that long ago that drivers drove in serious weather conditions in cars weighing 200+kg less, no HALO, worse visors (in regards to water drain), and managed just fine. Regarding the last point, in Nurburgring 2007 several cars slid off into T1 and I think it was Liuzzi that actually lightly bumped the crane...Brundle said then "I don't like to see those heavy cranes on track with cars around...". And he was absolutely right.
