We all know that, Ferraris best driving machines are as follows : Enzo F50 F40 Testarossa 512 BBi F355 348 328 308 If you want to narrow it down to the top 3 F40 F355 328 Thank you , (If money were not an issue, I would spend it on these Ferraris and not the new ones.)
"If money were not an issue, I would spend it on these Ferraris and not the new ones." The like is for your closing statement. The new cars leave me cold.
Im in love with the Enzo, Ferrari South Bay , a while ago was storing a customers Enzo in black !! It does not get any more sick !!! Its a shame most owners of these machines choose to keep them locked away as if they are museum pieces. To each his own, its a free country . Thank you
Intentional, really? Were you trying to be grammatically ironic, or throw us off some scent? Were you making some artistic point? Or, more likely, you don’t know the difference?
Have you driven all the cars in your list? If so, how much time have you had in each car, and in what conditions (track, road, etc.)? If not, I will treat this like I do horoscopes. For entertainment purposes only.
Very subjective issue. Personally, I greatly prefer the luxury, performance, reliability, styling and elegance of modern Ferraris. SF90, 812 and F8 top my list.
I love the looks and feel and smell of these cars. I grew up ousting for a Daytona/ 365/512BBs. How we I have been warned off as works of art at this point but disappointing to drive as I use my cars. Many agree that while desirable, compared to current Ferraris, not sure they are equivalent driving experiences. This is the essence of your statement which is not generally accepted by most enthusiasts. My partner loves his p51 warbird bud I prefer jets. That said everyone is entitled to their OPINION. as a driving machine, only the f40 or f355 out of this group would make my mount rushmore (driven everything on the list except the 512bbi, but i still love that car). daytona coupe is fantastic to drive, f430 manual snaps into gear, 550 maranello feels like three decades rolled into one. the 458 was a significant leap. 512m and 348 speciale are worth calling out over the early models. a well-maintained 246gts feels like butter. i never cared for the ff, but i couldn't believe what you can do with it. the big three can be really stressful to drive and take more time than others to be confident with either way, there's more great ferrari eras than the 80s/early 90s. maybe you were trying to be cheeky, so without some rationale for you assertions, i'll assume you're trolling from here
Well a list like this is subjective obviously, but I can't necessarily disagree. I currently own a 355 so would definitely agree with that - I owned an 88 Testarossa and actually did not find that to be a good driving car - but I was unable to use it as it was designed - long stretches of open road. I have unfortunately never had the opportunity/privilege of driving an F40 or F50 or a 512 so can't speak to those but assume they are magical. I have driven 308s, 328s and 348s and of the three the 328 is my choice. Interesting as to why your list only includes mid-engine models? Many would argue that the "true" Ferrari's are 275s, 550s, etc. Perhaps even 599s and 812s - Just curious as to why no front-engine v12s made your list? Fun thread
Thank you for your reply, I guess I was thinking along the lines of mid engine Ferraris, they have always been in a class by themselves. I love the front engine V 12s. My thoughts were on the Ferraris that were built as a result of their Formula One effort starting with the first mid engine race cars, same can be said about the sports cars. 250 LM, 512 PB , 330 , 333 SP you get the picture. Formula one represents the best handling. best driving cars, so that translates to the road cars that Ferrari built with the mid mounted motors, being the very best . Thank you
I totally get it - all good - FWIW to date I have only owned mid-engine Ferraris (but a 599 is on my "someday" list) - As far as F1 - well there is ..... Just having fun with ya Image Unavailable, Please Login
