Just like the Title asks: If you were able to change one thing about Dallas, what would it be and why?

I thought it would be an easy question, but I personally am having difficulty forming a solid, realistic answer.

    Thoughts?

Ditto, I've enjoyed Dallas the few times I've been there, but the landscape is too flat and bland. At least Houston fills its flat areas with either big lush trees or pine trees.

Move it somewhere cooler and nearer mountains.

Actually, I'd move Tarrant and Denton counties, and leave Dallas behind with the concrete and heat

Have to get up towards the Red River if you want to get a little hilly. 373 up near Bulcher is fun, but it's obviously not the Alps...T

    Texas!
First thought is to cut a deal with Oklahoma for a swap. Only problem is Oklahoma doesn’t have anything worth swapping. Swapping for the Raton Pass area has some potential.

Raton Pass and surrounding areas are nice. Did that many years. By then, my Ford Escort GT was approaching hooptie-dom, so I had to be careful not to burn up the engine on the climbs.

Oklahoma is generally flatter and the road straighter than their counterparts in Texas near the Red River, at least in the parts (southern OK) I have driven..

The Taovayas Bridge, though, which connects Spanish Fort, Texas and Courtney, OK is a fun place to check your car's high speed alignment.

Not Dallas, but Texas in general:

Build a wall around it. Doors that only open OUT.

I’m all for contracting with DIGMAN52 to dig a big sink hole under the metro mess, including the plowboys.

Yes, you can. Would hire a coastline pile driving contractor to drive in the sheet piling to a firm surface, and pump out the water/ mud inside the pilings. Might blow the budget though.
