Ordered the full system and tips for F8 hope Im not dissapointed.

 

It depends on your expectations. Don't expect a NA sound or too loud and you will not be disappointed.

Loudness increases as you do more; sport cat (100 or 200 cell) or straight pipe. Again, not NA sound.

I just installed novitec exhust (only back exhaust) which is showing in the picture. First observation, after driving it for 10 min only, rear pumper is getting so hot. My dealership is worried this my impact the paint. Thus, I'm now wrapping the exhaust with wrapping isolation to cool down the heat... Any one got same issue? Image Unavailable, Please Login

 

That is interesting. We really have yet to have any issues with this setup.

 

I had the valveless Novitec and tectronic installed. Couple hours after picking car up I’m getting catalyst temp too high slow down error. Not sure if this has something to do with the exhaust running hot?

 

Eeek. I have seen a few posts like this lately. Makes me nervous about ordering an exhaust. Bummer.

 

Everything is totally fine now and no more errors. I do think there is a break-in period. Changing the rear muffler is not invasive and doesn’t change anything beyond giving the car a glorious sound and a little more power. I will tell you the Novitec sounds incredible. Very F1 like. It has pops / crackles / etc. completely different than the stock exhaust which sounds like a Corolla.

 

Good to hear! I've had no issues after a year & almost 4,000km. My car is a 2021, not sure if that makes a difference. But fully agree on the sound quality - it's brilliant. Hopefully no more issues moving forward for you!

 

Do you know if the valved exhaust with the valves open sounds the same as the race exhaust? This would be with stock cats. Appreciate any input.

I just installed cat back novitec system without cat deleting. Thus, I didn't go with full Novitec exhaust system as I was little bit worried to harm the engine in any mean or to have some oil or smoke smells inside the car as I read online... The sounds now of course much better that stock, but I'm not hearing all crackling and popping sounds I was looking for unless I press hard... I have Lamborghini evo and the stock exhaust is amazing and so loud with a lot of crackling and popping...Now I started to compare the sounds and because I love Ferrari F8 more and I wish to make it louder and more aggressive... Do you guys recommend to go ahead and install full Novitec exhaust?
No harm on the engine or any further issue... No smells?
