Mine is currently long into it's 4th yr. No issues what so ever. I know everyone said replace it at 3, but I'm just playing with it.

I put an interstate in my 488. Mine lasted less than 2 years and was always on the tender. And it crapped out without warning (i.e., no funny electrical problems leading up to it.) Parked after a 15-20 minute drive and would not restart, leaving me stranded.

I guess I have been lucky, my factory battery in my 2014 458 Spider lasted eight years. It never actually failed, just became sluggish. I always kept it on a CTEK 7002 tender (I keep all my cars on a CTEK 7002 tender). I also keep jump kits in all my cars, just in case . . . .

Will a jump kit start any dead battery? Or can there be a situation where the batter is dead and a jump kit wont even jump the battery?

I used a jump start kit to start my 4.7 Liter Maserati Gran Turismo several times before I was able to get the battery replaced. It's a similar F136 engine to my 458 so I have total confidence in the jump start kits. I have several kits from BeatIt and NOCO. They are small and cost about $100 so totally worth it to me. I even got to stop in my 458 one day and jump start someone else's dead Jeep Cherokee.

May I have the model numbers of the units? Which is better? The NOCO or beatit and why?

Lot of good discussion and other people's opinion at https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/148398462/

I prefer the Beatit because you can use the connectors without the jump battery connected to measure voltage, but i can't find them any more. The NOCOs I have are https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0924V8SPC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1.
