Forza Magazine Aug. 2022 Issue, "Savior"... A fine article on the F355.
("Motor Trend called the F355 “the best-looking Italian body since Michelangelo’s David.” )
("Road & Track described the 40-valve V8 as “probably the best sports-car engine ever made”)

Interesting take.. they put the spider above the others for market value. Not sure I've seen the true market represent that to date.

That's a very nice way of saying they're completely incorrect.

Nice article, but this isn't right.

"The best fully insulated replacement headers are either the OEM Ferrari units or aftermarket versions produced by Tubi Style. Note that the Tubi version doesn’t have pre-cats, which, to over-simplify, means it won’t pass smog inspections in many states."

Also curious about the 30% improvement in chassis stiffness over the 348. Does anyone know specifically what they did for that? I seem to recall that the F355 has a slightly smaller fuel tank to accommodate additional bracing but surely there's more to it than that.

The article also incorrectly stated that the F1 transmission "perfectly matches" the revs, which of course it can not since the throttle is a mechanical cable system to the gas pedal.
The computer has no way of controlling the revs on downshifts.
This is in fact one of the really special aspects of the F1 system on this car, in that you learn to do "heel-toe" rev matching in conjunction with the paddle shifts and it's a super rewarding experience. I always think they should have a "manual" mode of rev matching on the more modern cars to give some control back to the driver.

Thanks for posting the article Mike. I will have to dig out my old issue, but if I remember correctly, the F355 gets more love in the new article. In the older article some of the owners that were quoted liked the car but not recommend it to their friends.
