As a matter of fact, I think the policy has changed at Red Bull, and that Perez is not on a leash anymore.

Horner must have realised he has a credible alternative to Max, and it shows in the way Perez is asserting himself.

 

So, since my flight is late, I find myself thinking about possible scenarios...

Assuming no position changes among the first 4 at the start. If Charles should begin to pull away from Checo with Max pressing him closely from behind, how long before Horner issues team orders?

(Yes, I know, with the RB advantage in sector 3 it may be moot).

 

Maybe Christian Horner will stop taking phone calls from Jos Vertappen during the race ?

 

Let’s remember a couple races ago perez was unable to overtake Russell with drs. Good team mate in a great car but his race pace so far hasn’t proved to be up to par with max

Also, new Ferrari wing has larger DRS flap so if they get passed and get back in DRS zone they *should* have more chance of retaking the car in front than they had at Miami.

 

I want to say Ferrari is strong but it’s more like Charles is strong, I want to say he has a leg up but time will tell tomorrow

 

Leclerc definitely has alot of food on his plate by battling--->both RedBulls, Ferrari and the Ferrari strategist.

How many races did we have where Sainz stalled his engine? In Australia, it was due to last minute change in steering wheel, but what about other races.

 

2 races Sainz hit the anti-stall button at the start of the race. 1 race he hit it 2x and another race he hit it once.

I forgot what races they were at.

 

Yes, it would be nice to see Carlos GAIN some positions at tomorrow's start. Hope springs eternal...

 

I find it a bit strange that Sainz is getting his engine stalled given that he had no such issues in 2021. Did something change?
