Not on the spiders yet but the Berlinetta 6 speeds, sure…despite the (relative) high volume built you can ask for the moon.

When I was younger, I had a good income and could have easily bought a 308/328 GTB and feel like PI Magnum.
Today, Ferraris seem to be out of reach. Time to ask Higgins for a job...

Curious to see if they move it at that price, but I just feel like the earlier manual Ferraris are going to continue to go crazy.

I think that price on a 20K-mile 355 is a bit of a Greater Fool search, but truth is $100K doesn’t go as far as it used to. A disposable daily driver Jeep Grand Wagoneer, is pushing $80K, so a Ferrari F430 at $140K (lightly used) is hardly stratospheric. If you need an old school manual, a great 328 probably runs in the same range. A brand new Roma is probably the same price as the asking on that 355, and if you want a real hand-finished collectible Ferrari you could probably shop for a 512 BBi in that range.

So, no, I don’t think Ferraris are unattainable. I think $349K for this 355 is delusional. There are much better Ferraris available for considerably less.

This Fiorano will never get that price. The Spyder's aren't commanding GTB/GTS numbers (not even close); Fiorano or not. There hasn't been an outstanding Berlinetta offered in a real long time, but GTS's are coming out of the woodwork in the $250-$300k+ range.

Actually a nice driver grade BBi hit the hammer at $235k just yesterday.

I think this surge has made Ferraris unattainable for anyone outside the top 25% of incomes, unfortunate because they tended to be very enthusiastic people who appreciated what it took to buy a dream car. I'm afraid we will be left with guys who buy exotics like a woman buys purses and doesn't have any excitement of ownership.

At the 25% number, that would be $85,000 a year. After taxes, $65,000 a year. IMO it would be a stretch unless you live at home, have zero kids, and a cheap girlfriend. :)

But when you had $60k 355s and $80k 360s, a guy in that income bracket could save for a few years and get one. A $200k+ 355? Rediculous....

Hate to spoil the party, but that 355 Spider is far from the norm. That’s a manual Serie Fiorano, where only 26 were offered worldwide. C’mon guys :). One comes up for sale maybe once or twice every decade. This one happens to be in the-market-can’t-get-enough-of-red-and-tan as well.

Now Spiders aren’t priced as strong as coupes and GTS’s, but I believe that car would sell in the $250-300k range 2 months ago. Non Serie Fioranos in manual are fetching roughly half that.

Manual GTB/S’ sub 30k mi have been fetching $200-300k in the last 6 months. Where ya’ll been???
