It is me who is incorrect. The dates are Tuesday 6/21 and Wednesday 6/22, and I confirmed my attendance yesterday.

I'd like to put in a plug for the FCA Empire State Region. They are an enthusiastic, energetic, and hard working group who really puts themselves out there to make all these events enjoyable for everyone. Being in the event business (actually, my wife is), I know how difficult and how much effort it takes to put something like this together. We need our community to support these efforts.

The event last month at Watkins Glen was my first FCA event with ESR. I can't say enough about it - the people, the venue, the training, the track conditions, the weather - it all came together like magic.

HPDE is not racing! It provides an opportunity to enjoy your car and learn some of its true capabilities in a non-threatening setting with like minded folks. You can go at your own pace and enjoy it at your own level - no pressure. And I assure you it is enjoyable! The Pocono track is not at all intimidating. (Watkins OTOH, lol....)

Pocono is very close to a high density of Ferrari owners (NY, NJ, PA) and you don't have to be a member to participate, or even have a F car for that matter. Also this area is in a beautiful setting and it will not be a densely packed event.

So speaking from a personal standpoint, I'd like to see a respectable turnout from members here on Fchat.

Just come out and enjoy - they'll even provide instructors who are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the track.

Pocono is a great and safe track for beginners IMHO. I've been driving it since the late 1980s.

Is the event open to the public or FCA members only?

Open to the public. You will need your own car and a helmet.

FCA membership is not required, nor is having a Ferrari a requirement (I'd say about 70% of the cars are not Ferraris).

I have the registration form and a tech inspection sheet which I can send to anyone interested. Or it can be done at the track (fee is slightly higher). It is approximately $1,100 for the entire two days, which includes an instructor and classroom training if you require.

Pocono Raceway is in Long Pond, PA, about 20 miles into the PA/NJ border just off Rt. I-80 west

Leaving in about an hour. We're staying at the Mt. Airy Casino. We stayed there when It first opened and the rooms were great. Twenty minutes from the track.

Great meeting up at Pocono! I had two great days with FCA, lots of high speed maneuvering and the infield esses were a blast. Bob and Chris put on quite a show!

I left The Tricky Triangle and headed directly to Road Atlanta with Chin (it would’ve been a shame not to make a pit stop here).

We ran hard today, a very scary track in a few spots! The 458 will need a bit of looking after before next weekend (VIR, up next).
