Not really WH Lowe related, but here's 0886 @ Monza 1972. Driven by Ronnie Peterson and Australia's most accomplished sports car driver that no one knows, Tim Schenken.

0886 spend quite some time here under the ownership of George Parlby.

Those 312P cars are amazing. The P closed varient is the best looking car. And it must be the lowest too. The driver must lie down in it. The good olde days.

Believed to be the London Motor Show (Earls Court Car). Apparently the first RHD Boxer.
Imported to Australia by W.H. Lowe and Company 1974.
Long ownership history in Oz, including a short time in Canberra, believed exported to the UK.

Top of the class. Now in the UK.

When the car arrived in Australia it had the non adjustable fixed back seats with Berber trim in cream. These were apparently pulled from the prototype as the factory had run out of the leather adjustable seats. JA changed the seats over some months later and the factory requested they be disposed of. So they were left out on the street outside WH Lowe, and gone the next morning.....

They're pictured in the 365 BB brochure of which I do not have to hand at the moment, but here's an image of the prototype with those seats. Note no headrests.

I don't think that's unusual. My 365BB had non adjustable fixed seats and no headrests too :)

Those Berber trimmed seats looked terrific too. I remember them in that special edition magazine on Ferrari by Wheels/SCW in 1983

Of course PB. But I think some P cars were chopped to make the PB but not all. The 312P is a lot prettier than the PB. Very sleek and a tiny car. The GT40 was 40 inches high. I think a 312P might be 30 inches high.

312P and 312PB were totally different cars, the former was a half hearted factory effort with 3 cars powered by a V12, one of which survives in coupe form. The 312PB on the other hand was a full blooded and successful factory assault on the World Sportscar Championship with this flat-12 F1 derived masterpiece, none of which ever appeared in coupe form. About 14 were built, maybe 11 exist. With a roster of F1 drivers these cars dominated for 2 seasons.

Yes, the old 312P coupe the most evocative and beautiful racers of the 1970's.
