Lots more to share. Tomorrow we get to try on any piece we want. I’m tired, I’m excited and I have no interest in any other watches as a brand other than PAtek anymore.
I’m going all in on the brand.[/QUOTE]
Ask for 5470p, very unique watch!
Patek try to increase production to meet the demand, they're looking to engage 300 more people in 2022 but competition is tough!

There is no meaningful increase in production happening. Maybe 1-2%. Nothing more.

Just a teaser- we got to try on every single piece in the collection. I mean every single one from minute repeaters to entry level calatrava. No photos inside the factory- and we were asked not Tom post pics of the watches- but I do have permission to post these:

Had a great conversation with Thierry. He was incredibly gracious with his time. Couple of points-

He wears a 5164 when he travels. He had just gotten back from Singapore.
His favorite watch of all time is 5970.
He (not his father) owns the museum, his father curates it.
He wants to try new things and not be boring. Look for some interesting new releases. Can’t comment more.
He is happy Nautilus is gone but replacmeent coming. I think this is fairly common knowledge.
The new building PP6 took 6 years to design and implement.
Each minute repeater is checked by him personally before leaving for sale.
Production is not going to increase in a meaningful way.
After a week in Geneva I’m exhausted. Ready to go home.

Met the main designer who designs all the watches. Her favorite piece is the Pilot. 5524. Was very interesting to hear that. I have a renewed love for this piece.

so after a week in Geneva I figured I’d update this list.
I have ordered the 5905a. It is stunning in person and may make me never buy a Rolex again. I loved it.

Next I’ve asked for the 5270p. Of the group of 10
Or so that were there, this was the most requested watch by the group. It’s really a stunning green and the only thing that would make the 5905 better is the 5270p green dial. This is my second request but considering how popular the watch was I told them I don’t mind waiting.

Besides - the 5270p is an application piece and the national sales manager said they would prefer if I wait since I just got the 5270j. They want to spread the love/. Totally fine by me.

I’m going to pass on the 5968 blue. It’s so close to my 5968a with a black strap- I just don’t see the point. I’ll wait and let someone else get this piece in my group if they want it.

Zero interest in nautilus or aquanaut by anyone in our group- we all gravitated towards the more complicated pieces. Such a fun time!!

Thanks for the update, agree the complicated watches are the most interesting and the pieces that in my opinion will stand the test of time decades from now.

The amount of time and work that Patek places on their enamel dials is absolutely incredible … simply a work-of-art.

Don’t hold your breath. 65000 pieces annually.
    20% are steel.
Of the 13,000 or so steel pieces, maybe 1/2 are the ladies models (Twenty Four)
That leaves 6500 pieces for all the steel Nautilus and Aquanaut- maybe 15 models? Thats roughly 400 units per model. Care to guess how many authorized dealers there are in the world? Roughly 400. Each dealer gets one version of each model.

    This isn’t changing anytime soon.

26 steel models with aquanaut, nautilus and twenty four. divide 13000 by 26 and you have roughly 500 for each model. Aquanauts and Nautilus arent becoming more available anytime soon.

What an awesome experience! Sounds like an incredible trip - glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for sharing. I was actually surprised almost nobody had mentioned the 5470p so far, I think it looks sensational, and very interesting to see a more sporty vibe coming through (also with the 5326) as Thierry Stern increasingly involves his children in the inspiration for new watches. Did you see any of the salmon dials (5172g in particular) up close? Falling in love with the 5205 lately too…
