That it would have to be a non-Touring GT-3, as while I’m a “good” customer, I’m not high enough on the purchasing line to qualify for a Touring. Has anyone heard that line? I presumed if given an allocation, it can be either trim the buyer desires…? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Makes sense, I for some reason just presumed if you were lucky enough to get an allocation for a GT3, you could get a GT3 touring Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It would be interesting to know the break down of 911 sales by trim level. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
True, wings everywhere. The Porsche Palm Springs showroom looked more like an Air Force base last time I was there. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I heard from my dealer the GT3 Touring were limited and the other GT3s were not? I wasn’t in the market for a GT3 or a GT3 Touring as I had no plans to track my car so I didn’t ask about getting an allocation for either. Since I have only purchased 4 cars from that dealer, so likely I would not be high enough to get an allocation if I had wanted one? But I evidently was high enough to get an allocation for a Turbo S which I now have for six months.
Pretty much as I expected having owned a 997.1 Turbo and a 997.2 Turbo S. The 22 992 TS is quite a bit quicker, bigger, I included all performance options, actually most options except the glass sunroof. So creature comfort friendly. The “tech” is extensive and not really user friendly which requires extensive reading of the owners manual. The mode is adjustable from normal, to sport to race. Normal and sport are all you are likely to use unless you track the car. For my opinion a better value for me over the GT3 Touring even though I believe a Touring priced out a bit less than the TS I ordered. I had previously looked at a used 2019 991 GT3 Touring with very low miles and my car had more power, more options, PDK vs MT for about similar $$$. Overall I am well pleased with the car, it is not my DD but a weekend or special car. I have had it one 800 mile road trip with my local PCA group but still only have about 2.1k on the clock with zero problems thus far.
I will buy your Gt3 Touring if you have an allocation for significant pprofit if I can order it Larry
I disagree the Touring is better looking if not a track car in my opinion Much nicer interior and better finished exterior details
Not sure I could now get an allocation but even if I could my dealer is now putting a significant dealer premium on all 911’s especially TS, GTS & GT3 models.
I was offered a winged GT3 at sticker in late '21. Probably should have taken it and built a nice generic car for the flip. I declined, holding out for a Touring and he said he would call in a couple of months with that allocation. I never heard back.
That’s where I’m at - I have considered selling my build and using the flip money to buy a 991.2 touring. Hoping the market is still strong enough to support that theory when my allocation gets pulled Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Around me, I am seeing the touring GT3 go for higher prices than the models with the wing. Saw a 991.2 4k mile touring asking price at around $300k, not sure what it actually sold for but I suspect it was close to asking price.
Over on Rennlist people are talking about paying $50-100K over sticker for GT3T allocations....hard to imagine this madness continuing for much longer.
I’m with you, but we’ve been saying that for nearly two years now! The world managed to go crazier than it already was clearly. Ha! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That’s crazy…maybe my plan isn’t as possible as I thought! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
