Just got confirmation from the Revs Institute that the 1974 Eagle Indy winner and the 1967 Eagle TG1 Dan Gurney SPA GP F1 winner will be at Road America for this event. That is worth the trip alone!!
Thanks for the heads up on this. I was there for a bit with the LC 500 Convertible Light attendance but there were multiple competing events today, and this one was not heavily communicated up front. Some nice folks there. Cars included, M4, a couple of generations of RX7, Audi convertible with wide body kit and copper color wheels, a very nice 911 GTS Targa. Inside the most notable F car was a white 812 GTS with CF shields. They had a Lucid Dream Edition and that looked really nice.
This coming weekend a top-quality vintage event at the Milwaukee Mile. Next weekend the Brian Redman Road America historical races with Eagle as the chosen marque. I know the 1967 Eagle SPA winner will be on display along with many other Eagle cars. To bad Dan Gurney can't join us!! The last week of July you have the Oshkosh EAA airshow, the biggest airshow in the world. First week of August IMSA comes to Road America. Also Fuelfed events posted on the bottom. Reason enough to go next weekend. Rare to see the Eagle SPA 1967 winner TG1 out in the open. History in Motion, Vintage Racing Returns to Road America for the WeatherTech International Challenge With Brian Redman - Road America
This event as a whole is one not to miss. To see what interesting things come out of the woodwork and are parked around town or to hang out at some legendary racing watering holes. There's a LOT more than just the event.
All 12 cylinder club photos from the Road America Historical races today. Alot of people are up here with the parking lots almost full, and many Ferrari's, Aston Martin's, Porsche's ect. in the parking lots. Love that Countach color! @F1tommy. Thanks for keeping this thread alive. I'm disappointed by the lack of participation here in the third largest city in the US, with two factory authorized Ferrari dealerships, has pretty much gone dark since Covid-19. Brighter days ahead.
Next year both a NASCAR and IMSA race downtown. IMSA to Race on Streets of Chicago in 2023 – Sportscar365
