    You could start there: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/575m-f1-to-gated-6-manual-conversion.639636/
Besides, you may also investigate how you would decide between a 550 (manual by definition) and a converted 575. Of course the converted 575 has better performance than the 550, but the F1 575 also has better performance than the converted 575.
So if performance is significant, why go for a manual? and if not, why not a 550?

If you want performance you can buy a Tesla…

A manual 575 is if you want a faster and more sorted (in other ways) Maranello than a 550. And if it matters, a rare example of a late era manual V12 Ferrari. Only the 599 followed it as a manual, with a small number of examples and mixed views of whether the manual suited the more hyperactive and darty style of the 599, which ushered in a new type of V12 Ferrari, quicker and more responsive but less grand tourer, and in the case of the the 599, rather less involving.

So if you want the last in the bloodline of traditional manual V12 GT Ferraris, the 575 is it: in the right spec, like a perfected/improved version of the 550. A 550 is probably 80% of the way there, as a manual, speaking as someone who owned both simultaneously. The rest of the value difference is down to rarity.

It sounds like your budget can also cover an oem 575 manual if u r also cross shopping 575 SA. If that’s the case, it comes down to how easy it is to locate a car, immediate enjoyment, and future collector value.

if u want to enjoy it right away, conversion will not work. It looks like another poster has had his at EAG for close to a year. For appreciation, I don’t think u can beat 550 as imo it’s amazingly undervalued. For max collectibility, 575 manual, but it may take a while to find one. I know autosport designs and motorcar classics, both on Long Island, each have one.

One thing to keep in mind is no matter how hard u try, if values climb, usage drops. I got my manual 575 a few years ago, thinking I would drive it everywhere, but as prices have climbed I’ve been thinking twice where I’m willing to drive it to and park it.

I have a SA 575 with an F1 automatic. assuming a conversion to a manual by a top flight shop with OEM parts—what have I done to resale value? Net positive/negative neutral?

Some here may poo poo this, but if you stick to what you describe above it’s hard for me to see anything but a positive effect on value.

I agree on neutral to positive on value. You mention OEM parts, you may want to chat with user @brogenville about some of the no-longer-available parts and what your options might be.

I agree. Based on the limited data points, it seems that the converted cars are selling on BAT for at LEAST as much as the car+conversion cost, and some a bit more. I think that you are at least in the same financial position and more than likely as the rarity of manual and drop top V12's continues to grow, you will be well positioned.

Either way, I would do it for the experience and joy, not the financial upswing (which it sounds like is your position). I don't think you will be hurting yourself at any point in the future if you do a quality conversion!

Lol, this is so true. Even our 1 owner 30K mile 550 - when they were at $75K, we (me, pops or my kiddo) anywhere. Never even crossed my mind to "care" - we are keeping it anyway, so...

But now seeing a 30K car sell for almost $300K, I am like "maybe we should not drive it in the rain" and "is the parking lot there have wide or narrow spots" and "I'll stay in the car while you run in the store honey" ......

Was not a conscience thing, just happened!

I have my SA in Naples at the shop to a few things. Passenger air bag leather is one. The roof is in great shape and operates well.
I spoke with the shop owner. He’s been my go-to guy for 20 years. We discussed doing the manual conversion on the car. He is going to check with EAG on delivery times for the parts package.
If it’s reasonable I am pulling the trigger on the conversion. I could care less about the resale value. I just want to drive a 3 pedal SA. I love that car. Had it for 15 years. Planning on keeping it as long as I can drive!!

I think whoever bought the Grigio SA with 2900 miles on BaT got a hellacious deal. It sold just under $250k. I realize the top has a malfunction. But that will be an easy fix. Great deal for a great car!!

I am looking for some advice regarding my 575M conversion to manual. Early this year I purchased a 575M with 33K miles and sent it off to EAG for the conversion. When the car was finished it seems that many if not most of the employees departed EAG. Upon it's return I experienced what appears to be a transmission whine prevalent in 4th through 6th gears, which was not present with the F1 unit. The whine occurs only when the throttle pedal is depressed. Has anyone else experienced a similar result from the conversion? If so, what was done to alleviate the whine if anything?

F1 or 3 pedal differences will not change anything internally that would result in a whine. All the changes are exterior when changing from F1 to 3 pedals.

Might be time to change your transaxle fluid to a good synthetic 75W-90.

In the youtube videos I've seen of EAG 575s, the wine is noticeable - for some reason I attributed that to the linkage in my mind. I am not an engineer though!

MMWX did one. slightly different than the standard 575 but all on the interior. The end user loves it. He doesn't do forums but if he did he would attest

They don't have them available. Only company that does is MMWX at the risk of being kicked off F chat the fact remains. All tested and all proven all works and completely support the product.

The whine varies from car to car. Higher mileage cars have more whine and generally it's in higher gears. In F1 you would most likely not notice. The manual version would create a funnel to pronounce undetected variants previously. The sound variants vary, the high pitch whine is gear noise. A rattle is poor installation or old design parts.

@MachVec I’ve put a bunch of miles on my converted 575M since Otto / MMWX completed my car and it is awesome. I can attest to the fact the Otto is a man of his word and has the ability to get the work done right.

My friends 550 is being buttoned up at the shop after a major…hoping to get some time in both seats to compare the experience, but I am a satisfied owner of a manual 575 :).
