Thanks for sharing all those views. There is something for every interest at that show including some very rare models. Also no barriers for these rarities, just lots of cars for up close viewing!
Pt. 3 the blue car with the red wheels; any more views of that one?
Looks like you would need good knees for a day of wandering about on that lawn...

A great show at a spectacular venue. I was somewhat disappointed at the number of recreations on the show field however. I counted 3 Corvette racecars, the GT40 MkII, MkIV, etc. Couldn't they locate an original Cobra Daytona coupe?
Seeing the Chaparrals up close and personal made my day! Here are a few favorites.

There were some spirited discussions in the judges room regarding the 'recreations'.

Each of the 4 cars in your photographs is rather special in it's own way. The 1967 L88 racer always pales in comparison with the next year wonderful curvy 1968 Corvette roadster DX racer.
That 1963 Z06 style of wheel with the early 2 - bar spinner is rather unique. Is that a bigger stronger racing version of the early P48 wheel option? Seems to be more ribbing around the central portion of the wheel.

Charles I don't think that the Gulf One Z06 ever raced with that wheel in period. If it did it would have been at Sebring, I will check. A bit of creativity by the restorer perhaps? I saw the car compete in the day and it ran steelies in AP sans flares(I actually had a thrill ride in it at age 10).

Oh that Z06, very special to see it again!
The Up From Clay movie shows prototype 1963 Corvettes with 2 bar KO wheels with Zora present for a test. However the wheels would loose too much air over time so not ready for use.

I've been in touch with a friend who attended the Sebring race as a gopher for the Gulf team. He tells me that the white car did race on the aluminum k/o wheels; the blue car ran steelies. I will post photos a bit later.

I was going to say the same thing. Jules Verne. Not exactly what I’d want for my hyper-car interior. Yet if I was close to that I’d probably have a fleet so why not.

Had my cool boots on when seeing them first hand.
