    Hey all,
My 06 F430 just went over 40K miles, and the original CCB pads are getting "close", especially the fronts. Anyone know a good source to purchase them from? I really only need the fronts, the rears can probably last another year. I did find a set on eBay. Thoughts? Recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Yikes. Your decision but I would not trust a set from eBay.
Instead, find Pagid RSC-1 pads for your car as a slightly better alternative to OEM. E.g. at Vivid Racing.

I always thought you had to change discs and pads together? Is this a myth?

Is that specific to year? I thought on the 08 and 09 the CCM disc replacement is based upon a reading of % used or if discs are physically damaged. I know the Leonardo computer can read that %. The pads are much less "hard" than the rotors and it's about heat cycles.

I guess it's not year specific, MY are not mentioned anywhere in the workshop manual, regarding CCM.
The % reading is not correct sometimes... I have seen CCM discs totally worn out, with good % left according to the computer.

I theory, you should be able to know by using a scale, as most CCM discs has a printed new weight and a printed minimum weight on the bell.
I have a set of brand new Brembo CCM discs for my car, even when new, then weight does not match the printed weight.
