I like Binotto, he's calm, intelligent and looks like he has a plan and the respect of the team.

Which is why Toto looks like a total crook when Binotto says that Ferrari couldn't have produced the new part Mercedes came up with overnight from the FIA TD ..... those well chosen words spoke volumes of Mercedes duplicity

Just kick the cheats out or take all of their points away like they did to McLaren for cheating

I think he just lacks the experience and chicanary of someone like Horner. I bet he is a fast learner though.

I dont dislike any team Bas, however there are some drivers that I cannot respect. The likes of Lauda, Clark, Hill, Senna, Prost etc etc were in a different league to the current bunch of snowflakes. I do not like Verstappen, dont know why but talented yes. His last gringe on the radio that someone cut across the line.........really

Ah I didn't take it like that at all...but we both agree that Ferrari is that much more than any other team.

I prefer drivers as well over teams, but now that Kimi has left I don't resonate with that many anymore. I like Max because there's no bs, no agenda, doesn't mince his words and doesn't apologize when he doesn't mean it. Regarding the pitline comment, I think that was in Jeddah? And Max said it because he got a warning for doing it earlier in the weekend or a race earlier or something, and now it kept going unnoticed. However he is very outspoken so I get that people don't like him.

It's probably why I like Alonso now as well as the BS has stopped now.

I agree with your list of previous greats.
However I can forgive almost any radio rant as it's in the heat-of-the-moment, and we'll never know what Graham Hill was shouting while racing.
What's difficult to forgive is a driver asking to Quit on Lap 2 when his engineer knows that points can be won. Quite frankly there's no excuse for such prissy attitude.

Agree if its a heat of the moment reaction but mostly they are not. I think this disease of grassing on others has crept into the sport afflicts certain drivers. MV and LH seem to be the worst imo, its the stuff of kids in the playground, just drive the bloody car FFS. Personally I would ban two way radio transmissions. Pit to car only.

Graham Hill would have been entertaining on the radio :)

Not forgetting Race Control to car !

The race director should be able to send instructions directly to the drivers without going through the team.

All the pits do is argue about penalties and delay their applications.

It really would not work as: car to pit with pit board, team to car with radio.

Remember when Schumachers' radio broke and he used the onboard camera (pointed at the helmet) to communicate with the team using hand signals?!

Possibly but that technology would come as an extra cost.

Is that possible with an ever decreasing budget cap?

F1 is full of contradictions: it wants more, but for less!

I feel the decision to keep drivers safe is more important. Teams are just going to continue skating the rules and bouncing drivers every which way until something bad happens, and even then things won't change much if at all. Just my 2 Euros on this

Compared to how often so many teams are experimenting with floors I think it would be a wash. How many new floors have Mercedes already re-engineered/fabricated this season?

A very limited active suspension, perhaps at the rear only and only 'active' above certain speeds

Mercedes need not be in the game. They need to suffer the consequences for the build decisions they made. Not change and add to the rules for them. PERIOD.
