I have had some weird results when dealing with the Chinese on doing a car model.

At some time I had sent a bunch of pics of an engine compartment on a RoadRunner. I had my notebook and pen on top of a fender liner so they got included in some pics. You guessed it, they sent pics of the master and there was my notebook and pen in the model master. Hard to complain as they copied everything.

Another time the pics got sent via e mail. And somehow they all were mirrored by someone at the factory, and then those were sent out to the master model builders. So 3 months later we get the master and everything is mirrored!!

Thay are superb artists/craftsman but not so good anyway else…

With specific reference to model making...I would never refer to the Chinese as "superb artists/craftsman." They are extremely good at copying, but they can, and often do leave much else to be desired. I've dealt with them too, and critiqued too may of the models produced by them.

Thought it was canceled some years ago... they are finally planning to release it?
Maybe they see now that 1/12 is selling well!

I'd love to see this one in 1/18 scale. This is the exact version I've wanted for a very long time. Still waiting for Looksmart...

By the way this 1/12 Kyosho version is 650 euro at Carmodel.com. That's a lot cheaper than the sealed and poorly detailed version by GT-Spirit!

BBR have made several in 1/18th already, and they look very good.

Yes they have, but as far as I know not this specific version. Plain red, large headlight pods, front bumper with curved edge in front of the wheels and no louvers on the nose.

I also think the Kyosho is well priced, but doubt they will make race versions....but i'm considering this one, should be an amazing display piece

Closed grilles on a 1/12 scale model is never a good thing. :(

How about a Hachette subscription 1/12th Iveco Turbo Star truck in 1/12th scale. This is the same type used by the Ferrari F1 team in the early 2000's. I wonder if they will do the Scuderia Ferrari version also :)

Aside from the color, what are your…and anyone else’s….impressions of the model? I’m thinking of buying the GT4 model. Color is not critical since I would like to have it repainted in a different color anyway. I’m more interested in accuracy and quality of build.

Are there any high quality 308GT4s available in any scale?
    Thanks.

A friend of mine asked me to buy it for him so to be honest I didn't inspect it very thoroughly regarding accuracy. But from what I remember it presented well. I think the design of the GT4 is replicated well including the stance. The quality was good. Nothing crooked, good paint etc.

CMR Porsche Turbo Lemans 1974. Not sure about the windshield and the size of the headlights/hood. Something looks off and a little wide. How the hell can you mess up a 911 based car??

Next 1/12th up from Top Marques, the Alfa Romeo 155V6TI. I suggested the 1996 Martini version wich was never done before but I guess this is the most important version as it did win the DTM championship in 1993.

Wow, did not expect this one. I would rather it was a 330 LMB or 275 GTB/C #6885 but I figure someone will do those in 1/12th scale sooner or later. Great news!!

Yes saw this too! What a surprise! And I think I might actually order one, but not this white color. Four colors will be offered, and if I buy one, it will be the light met. blue version. Few details not ideal like the exhaust pipes, and side window trim, but those can be fixed.
