My parents bought a house on the Beach on the Gold Coast in 1966. In June 1967 a cyclone nearly washed it into the ocean. June, Winter, In Qld, A Cyclone, In 1967. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
That’s not the point, the point is it was an extreme event 50 years before the climate emergency we are told we are in now! Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
There will always be ‘extreme’ events - the issue is when they become ‘regular’ events. We haven’t had a decent cyclone in the SE for so many decades, the next one will probably be a doozy... But beaches heal - we lost up to 8m of sand in places in May - big chunk is already back without assistance from mankind.
The fact is that over the last few decades, there have been fewer natural disasters, not more. Never before in human history have we been less likely to die in a natural disaster. The latest data shows that around 80% of Pacific islands are either stable or growing, not shrinking. The leaders of (some) of these places are simply using the false predictions of doom to coerce ever more money out of the west. Unfortunately for them, cosying up to China is the biggest mistake they will ever make, and far more dangerous than a rising tide.
Yep 100% Steve…It will be like waking up in a ditch with a sore arse and no wallet..They have no idea how badly this will end….
That didn't end well. https://www.news.com.au/technology/motoring/motoring-news/police-chopper-busts-porsche-911-at-huge-speed/news-story/c71a9dfabe92e9e5a7c7beb6b1c189eb?dc_data=8525718_samsung-carnival-australia-english&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=taboola_news&ui=34cf573a-bf69-47fe-bebf-35e2488f3516-tuct9ae7e8b
What a dickhead. I like the idea of jail or a fine of 6-12 months of their salary for that sort of idiocy.
Idiot protestors in Sydney. Nut case who used a steering lock to tie herself to the steering wheel at a tunnel entrance! WTF Someone needs to tell them there's no unusual climate change.
Seems fair enough to me https://www.news.com.au/sport/more-sports/transgender-competitor-beats-13yearold-girl-in-nyc-womens-skateboarding-contest/news-story/5f018c6c99b04d752465344d4f05e89c
I'm replacing all the flexible plumbing hoses at my place. 24yo is risky I'm lead to believe. Not exactly a major expense for the peace of mind. Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
