that is IF it goes for the guide price.
no idea if the car is in good shape or not.
the cost to move that car to the usa mkt will be $10k or so, and the duty will be another couple k. so lets say 10-15k.

if this sells within europe - but not switzerland, it will be subject to vat at 20% or so depending...
so better for it to sell within swizerland or to the usa.
my guess it goes for closer to 200k if there are no big unknown issues.

Are the changes from the TR to the 512TR worth the extreme price disparity? Or is it rarity? I was considering the TR that was for sale on the classifieds but didn't act fast enough but as I do more research into these it seems the 512tr is infinitely more desirable.

Seems unlikely it will go anywhere near as low as they predict. Believe this is the second highest VIN 512TR I know of, and looks to be in good shape and complete. Will ask the guy I've been working with on mine if he knows the car, he may even have sold it new.

Im biased but yes the later 512tr is a completely different car than the testarossa.

I think this is personal preference. To me the 512TR looked like a TR tweaked to perfection, so If I had purchased a regular TR I'd always have a nagging feeling to get the TR once I got over the price delta.

Many designers would tell you otherwise.

A facelift is a facelift. You can always tell who had one.

Facelift is a point on its own, but I’m pretty sure most are talking about the actual driving characteristics.

the looks and the capabilities are significantly improved from the testarossa to the 512tr.
of course that is my own opinion, but the market seems to agree with me.

    Agreed
But ultimately 90% of this is subjective anyway based on how much we weigh certain attributes. Just choose the one you want….for me it was the TR…

Then with your logic the 512M is the most beautiful.

    not at all.
evidently you dont know the definition of 'logic', you are the one extrapolating.........i made no such statement, either implicitly or explicitly, so dont put words in my mouth.

i have never liked the 512m, and have been quite open and vocal about that on this forum.

I think in the interim people will go for the 512TR and M

Eventually the market will want the original version.
