July will be here before we know it. Exciting times ahead!
That is one of the coolest prancing horse signs I have ever seen. Very clean design. Wouldn't you just want to put one in your drive way - if your wife would let you. Drew
The Ferrari dealership in the 80's was owned by a super gentleman, George Crook, who's no longer with us. Mr. Crook was a longtime Jaguar guy, who actually owned a c type in the early 80's. He always had jaguar, and others on the side. Before Ferrari, he had Maserati. I would go on my lunch break looking at the bora's. So glad to have a dealership again.
Great memories, Mr. Crook was a great man. I grew up across the street from him and our families were friends. I remember my dad taking me to the dealership and he would let me sit in a 308, so cool. I was introduced to Chris at a local restaurant a couple of weeks ago, he was super nice guy and I am so glad Ferrari is back in Nashville.
So cool you knew Mr Crook. I'm friends with his son, George Jr. We had lunch last week, so I'm happy to keep a connection with the Crook's.
He was a character! After he sold Thoroughbred to Mr. Bennett and it moved to 8th Ave Mr. Crook had The Motorcar Company...then sold that and brokered cars through us his last few years. The stories he would tell, the main take away is just how much Ferrari has changed. If you look at Ferrari Of Atlanta today compared to it's old place...and what Nashville is about to have, I wish he were here to see it.
I remember the motorcar company. Would go there as well on lunch break. So fun that someone else knew him on this site

Just saw your post. In regards to Nashville cars and coffee, it has turned into a joke IMHO. Just a few years ago, it was full of interesting cars, many older European cars that you don't see. Now, it's 1000 newish mustangs, Camaros, trucks, drift cars, and 20 something's with their chipped Honda's. It's like walking through a mall parking lot, and about as exciting. I miss the way it was, abhor the way it is. I'm done with it
There's probably an alternative one that no one talks about...it happened in the ATL becasue of the commerical success of caffeine and octane...there's a couple spinoffs...one's made up of the original crew when C&O was getting kicked out of parking lots because of 50 cars. sjd
Oh wow, thx for heads up. Wish we had a c Thx for info. Wish we had a c&o here in Nashville. I'll keep my ears open for a spinoff here.
There is a relatively new event the 2nd Saturday every month at the Global Motorsports Performance Center at 1690 Mallory Lane in Brentwood. It’s relatively new but has had a good turnout so far and much less obnoxious. It seems to coordinate with the Italian Car meet at Carlock Motors right down the street. I just heard an authorized Lamborghini dealer is planning to open in July as well in Brentwood. Does anyone know any details about it?
It in an odd location, but I am not certain whether this is a temporary or permanent location. It is going to be next (to the right) to the Porsche dealer in what was formerly office space. There is a small sign up and some work going on inside but don’t know about opening timeframe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
