No, people are not basing this on two comments 40 years ago. They are referring to two incidents Amongst dozens exhibiting a long trail of purposefully demeaning people, putting them down, being rude etc. They were not isolated cases, just two of the more publicized at the time, so remembered more now. He was always an ass, and often proud of it.
At least he was sincere and not trying to let us believe he is a nice guy. We all know how the lecturer behave in the real life. They often are the worse.
I’ve noticed that a lot of the criticism for LCH comes from his clothes and style. I’m going to take a wild ass guess that these same people were (are) fans of James Hunt. Can you tell me how Lewis not conforming to current accepted dress style and pushing the envelope is different from James Hun? Hunt used to go on stage in jeans and T shirts with bare feet when accepted dress for the day was suit and tie. Or wearing suggestive T shirts (if you think my girlfriend can fight you should see her box) etc. around the paddock etc. Both are standing out from the norms of the time, but when people get older they seem to forget that and become the prior generation in condemning those pesky kids.
LH can continue to promote his love of BLM, a terrorist, violent, hate-mongering, racist, hate group. No problem there? Of course no problem ... crickets .... LH has that privilege.
Yes speaking negatively about The lulu is prohibited. Disliking someone is prohibited. Criticizing The lulu is prohibited.
One, how is that not a political statement? Two. No matter what your personal opinion, BLM is not seen as a terrorist entity by the vast majority of people in this or any other country. it's not like certain movements involved in politics over the last year in this country that are now actually being formally listed as terrorist organizations by some other countries. If my post is too close to politics, please remove, after the post above specifically calling BL terrorists.
Conversely, I believe Michael Schumacher was (pre accident) an outstanding human being off track who did lot’s of good in the world, giving lot’s of money to charity etc. Senna the same, or even more so. He did a lot of good for the poor in Brazil. Great person. I can’t stand either of them, and don’t rate either of them anywhere close to the top of any ‘best driver list’. That’s because they were both dangerous, unsportsmanlike bullies on track who didn’t give a **** about pushing people off, blocking tracks, purposefully taking out the competition etc.. I rate my assessment of them as race drives on their on track performance, not who they were off track. Why can’t we give LCH the same courtesy? (Post edited by mods to remove quotes / P&R language)
My opinion entirely. My appreciation of racing drivers is strictly based on what they do ON THE TRACK. What they do outside, I really don't care.
If you havent noticed or dont care to see, is that The lulu brings what SHOULD be OFF track TO the track! And the FIA keep it all in motion! Oh, and yeah, the anointed holy one never pushes anyone off track right?
Give me more examples then of instances where he demeaning, and i mean really demeaning. Not just saying the crap he said when he was a driver like he does not give a **** about fame or he drives for himself and does not thank anyone else if he wins etc.
I have to say i understand more and more your point of view. That's was not the case some times ago i have to admit..
I agree esp now. Bc nowadays they are all trying to shove their beliefs on us 24/7 with a heavy dose of hypocrisy. I have no respect for any of them. Before we all went nuts and offended by small ****, i used to admire Schumacher and Senna bc they put their money where their mouth was without being obnoxious as some are today.
I’ll expect my “public apology” from the pillock forthwith, otherwise he should be banned from the paddock for his ageist “outmoded thinking.” The sooner he’s out of the sport, the better. He should just **** off.
Excellent idea. Let's talk about the luckiest driver of F1 history who went to a team right on the moment they started to dominate for an unprecedented long period, had a weak team mate for years and enjoyed enormous privileges when things did not go his way. Or was this already discussed ad nauseam?
Elton fighting fake discrimination with real discrimination. Elton’s performance is masterful. He’s ready for the F1 movie with Brad Pitt now. LOL
I love it - Lewis is right. No need for juicy soundbytes from fossilized cranks - many of them who only make news when they're having pop at Lewis. Old and in the way as they say.
your boy only makes news when someone says something against his bitchy little self. He is irrelevant now so HE latches on to whatever he can to be in the spotlight. lulu bubu
Antifa with clown clothes. Media enabling it. Max won the WDC despite all that. And George is consistently outperforming him. Expect more synchronized flailing.
