Good catch. Looks like it was at GENOVA 2022-06-05 to 2022-06-07, anyone that had their car shipped around then should be getting closer, although I'm guessing a few weeks delay at the dock before changing status. I was told my Portofino M was shipped out on 9 June when the Chicago Express was there, but that ship just left Norfolk on the way to Savannah, so I have no idea when it will get to New York.
F8 spider finished production June 8th, but I opted for air freight so I’ve already taken delivery. I’d like to know if anyone else had their car finish around then and when it gets delivered. Curious how much time I actually shaved off
My dealer just offered me the option of air shipping for $30K. I was told it shaves-off 6 weeks from the delivery time.
Depends on location, 6 weeks is an extremely low estimate based on what I’ve seen to the west coast. When I ordered my 812 it was around 8-10 weeks saved, and that was before the ports and trucks were a mess to deal with. Recently I’ve seen people have their cars sit in the port for 4-6 weeks alone. Of course these are all estimates, and until another person has their car finish around the same time, and go a similar distance to final destination that’s the best we’ve got. So hopefully someone else has a car that we can use to compare times and see more accurately how much time is saved.
My car finished production April 1st, went 91 first week of May, and has been sitting at 92 for about three weeks as of today. Still have to wait for 93 to be loaded onto a truck and shipped to the west coast. I'd guess you saved 10-12 weeks easily
According to my sales team my Portofino M was shipped out of Italy on 9 June. I'll update if it ever makes it to San Diego and that should give you a pretty accurate estimate of how much time you saved. Based on my guessing, it is still on a boat eventually heading to Port of New Jersey.
Awesome, I’ll be very curious! I just left San Diego, and I’m tempted to buy a place and move my F8 spider down lol. The weather is top down weather all the time!
My only disappointment shipping into LAX was I did not get a picture of the car being loaded/unloaded from the plane. :-(
When my 812 flew to SeaTac I wasn't able to go and see it unloaded, and there were no pics of it being loaded either. The F8 went to LAX and same story. Next time I'll fly it directly to SeaTac though just to not deal with trucks.
Hi, all. New F8 owner and curious as to whether you can track the status of delivery without calling the dealer. My car is in NJ in stage 91, but the Ferrari app shows nothing but "waiting list" status. Thanks!
Whoever could make that app would get a lot of hits daily haha. It’s totally up to what the dealer pulls from the system - they are the best arguably only source! (The app is not… accurate, exactly) Congrats on the F8 can’t wait to see photos!
The app will show "waiting list" until after you have taken delivery. For a new car, the app just gives you VIN and three production photos. I'm assuming your dealer told you were in stage 91, any chance you can say when your car shipped? I have a Portofino M that shipped on 9 June and haven't heard a word since so just trying to figure out timing from other people. And please post your production photos.
Dealer is the only way to get status updates. I emailed Ferrari customer service asking for any other methods and they said dealer is the only way.
From my notes it’s reasonable to figure 90 days from shipping date to in your hands. Seems a bit longer on the west coast, but I think it’s not an exact science anyway so if you think 90+\- you’ll at least be in the right ballpark expectation wise. Others can correct if I seem way off, but that’s been my observation this last year.
Definitely, my dealer told me to expect 2 - 3 months from shipping to delivery. Just wasting time with idle speculation trying to figure out what ship it was/is on: CGM Dalila: GENOVA 2022-06-07 Chicago Express: GENOVA 2022-06-12 Vienna Express: GENOVA 2022-06-26 My dealer said it shipped on 9 June, so the Chicago Express made the most sense. Unfortunately the Chicago Express just spent 11 days off the coast of Georgia and is underway to Miami without ever getting near the Port of New Jersey (https://www.myshiptracking.com/vessels/chicago-express-mmsi-211839000-imo-0). Just trying to guess if it made the earlier CGM Dalila or the later Vienna Express.
