After another hard day at the office, including +/-50 miles of road testing a ‘32 PB Roadster’s recently rebuilt 276” Hemi, sorting out some minor distributor/timing issues on a 365 GTB/4, disassembling/inspecting a ‘60 300 “F” long block (& discovering the owner having dodged a major bullet), followed by a yummy Pakistani cuisine (take-out) dinner… Image Unavailable, Please Login … CAO Zocalo, Herradura Reposado & Hangar 24 Orange Wheat.

I don't buy aged Cubans. The 2000 and 1999 punch along with others in the 1990's were bought in 2005 so they weren't "aged" at the time. My stock is primarily from 2005- 2010. I have sold some of my inventory, regrettably. I should have kept the 4 boxes of the 2006 Cohiba Piramides LE I had. I'm down to only 5 stick of the 2004 Cohiba Sublime LE. Cohiba is my favorite marca!
Nice to have at least a small stock of vintage stuff. Shame you ditched the 4 boxes of Piramides but hindsight is a great expert unfortunately. I agree Cohiba (and Trinidad) with their third leaf fermentation are great cigars, but with the most recent prices increases the mind boggles. I’ve been around vintage stuff since the mid 1990s, I founded and ran the vintage cigar auctions at Christie’s in London. Had a couple of cigar auctions in Hong Kong too and most excitingly, two pre-embargo Cuban cigar auctions in NY at Christie’s Rockefeller. Oldest Havana smoked: Cabãnos y Carbajal 1875. Best Havana smoked overall: 1492 Cabinet of 50. Good to meet some fellow smokers on here
It look like you have a lot of knowledge and experience with Cubans! My go to vendor is in HK but like you said the recent market is NUTS! I really stop buying cuban back in 2015. These prices today are crazy. A box of Cohiba Robustos was $285-$300 back in 2006 ....now $1,600. SigloVI $450 ...now $2,500 or more. I'm glad you found this thread. Are you on any other forums....like cigarpass?
My humidor is 100% Cuban. Prices today are just crazy. Even regular D6 box of Partagas is like $600 duty free here. Siglo 1's the tiny ones are $700. Glad I stocked up on VI's a few years ago. That was an accident lol. @Bebs I'm always a buyer for 2012 C no. 3 if you know of any laying around that need a good home... warning... they will be burned!!
I’ve got a collection from a client for sale at the moment.. very reasonable prices given the recent Habanos increase.
