    Ken,

brembo left out an important point. Most of the cooling/heat dissipation of these ventilated rotors is provided by the internal vanes; they're contour and angulation...

Cross-drilling and slotting prevent brake fade by improving gas venting of traditional disc brake pad compounds when they begin to break down at extreme temperatures.

I haven't installed them yet. Just received rotors last week. Look forward to getting the car back on the road by summer. Just keep in mind the pads should be bedded with the rotors before realizing any performance.

little question Ken, I'm going to equip my 355 with Fiorano discs and pads, then I keep my calipers and repaint them in red or do I have to make a modification? will the yellow pads and new rotors fit "normal" calipers
Calipers are the same between normal and Fiorano ? Only the color is changed ?
We Say for Fiorano, calipers were red
But 1rst owner had the choice for the color, red, black, gold ?
    Correct ?

Calipers are all the same, so pads are all interchangeable.

    355 comes standard in black.

I could be wrong, but starting 96-97 you can choose Silver or Yellow calipers.

98-99... Red & Gold were new color options. Silver and Yellow as well.

Gold is rarest you'll see on the 355. Followed by Silver. Yellow and Red are most common, with Red being the most common.

I've been reading a lot about brake pads for these cars

It seems most people want pads that were original spec but best for the cars at the time.

Brake tech has moved a lot in the past 25 years, I'm surprised at the lack of discussion of newer, better pads. Isn't there something using a newer material that would have better torque and fade characteristics?

I just put on EBC red stuff and super happy w them. Squealed a bit on break in but now quiet. Everything better about them compared to the slightly glazed oem pads they replaced. Street only usage.

Where did you get these? The EBC website says none of their parts fit 355

Great. One less gold caliper set in the world. They were only in superb original condition.

A huge shame. The car was a Giallo spider, strange combo to have gold calipers on yellow exterior.

Looks like the caliper was powder-coated with a thick coating. Sharper details of the caliper now have less resolution. Not to mention font is not the same.
