So that means no power to the instruments

How do you get anything to work on the car... including the engine? No power on fuse 24 means no vehicle speed or engine rpm information for the F1 TCU or engine ECU. Has your voltmeter died?

Are you using a good earth?

    I have no idea Ian.

It's driving me nuts. I have nothing at that fuse. No HVAC panel response and the power mirrors are in-op.

Everything else is fine..... my head hurts

do the turn signals work? If memory serves me correctly, my mirrors, turn signals and back up light were on the same fuse. But my car is a 2.7.

Same on 5.2. Mirrors, turn and reverse on same fuse. i.e. fuse #26 on the 2.7 car and fuse #25 on the 5.2 car. Same physical location on the relay panel on both cars, just a different numbering system.

In summary, there must be power on fuse 24 (Aircon/instruments), otherwise the car wouldn't run.
Does your meter work on other fuses? e.g. 19, 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31 should be live all the time. 24, 25 & 26 should be powered with ignition.

Thought I'd better update this thread as I ran my own checks and the results disgreed. My checks showed:

    Pin 1 = earth
Pin 2 = panel lighting (variable volts as it is controlled by dimmer knob)
    Pin 3 = fuse power (12 volts)
Pin 4 = function unknown other than being affected by both STOP and RECIRC
    Pin 5 = temperature control
Pin 6 = function unknown other than being affected by both STOP and RECIRC
Pin 7 = air direction control
Pin 8 = fan speed control
