Testarossa Price Trends

Been wanting to get a Testarossa for a decade and always ended up buying something else, I'm back on the market and it looks like it softened up. The $200k i see listed at some dealership are completely unrealistic

 

The disaster i posted went for 125k, yesterday.

 

What made it a disaster of a car?
The engine rebuild?

 

Yes, brown dash, wheels, numbers dont match. If ur not willing to pay 200k for a great example why wld u pay 120k for that

 

I actually like the wheels; they look like 288GTO style with better tire choices vs the OE 16s. If the car is going to be driven why not one with a rebuilt engine and better tires.

That said, I agree neither should get a premium and this would be a good sale given the miles.

I do also agree about the dash… but I only like black dashes. And at least for me, while I have no issue with tasteful small modifications, I do like having the original parts also included. I did not read the advertisement close enough to know what happened to the original engine

You do NOT have to pay $200k for a nice Testarossa (at this time), just stay away from BaT!

Nats car (I think a 1990) with 10k miles was a perfect example he sold a few weeks ago for $140k all serviced and ready to go.

 

So the 125k car shld have went for 90k

 

Agree, it was way over priced, any other platform and it would have been lucky to sell for $90k

 

Sounds correct, so perhaps this was somewhat of an aberration.

 

But a ‘90 car should not have center locks?

I also wondered about the center lock looking. when I enlarge the photo it looks more like a cover, but not like a nut

 

They are not center locks, just a cover as mentioned hence the term ‘style’. No idea who made those wheels.

Nat sold his car in under 2 hours, to my friend and cld have sold it for much more but he honored the asking price he put on fchat.

 

Didn't see the ad. Surprised he decided to sell it and for that price considering what he said prev.

Hopefully it wasn't because of all the time he spent on Fchat.
