Too funny she lived at 25 Mona Place which went through to Walsh st. and 17 was a garage where her Mercedes Benz 220se coupe was kept ,remember it so well as a child .in the early 60s .

Dan, often wondered what had happened to it ,as I has so many memories of being picked up on a Friday night and driven to the farm , dirt road (Hill road Gruyere ) fog , kangaroos but not my style of car , manual , no power steering ,just good memories of a wealthy lady enjoying her coupe , sold it bought a new 250SE coupe and her last car was a bought new 450SLC rego #221 .. I don't think in my time of seeing that car it was ever washed in the 5 years she owned it ! Either mud or dust covered it . Born in 1901 died in 1996.We seem to live a long time in my family my mother is 92 in a few days time and still driving her V8 Jaguar ..
Great story Rob, lots of wonderful memories. Sounds like there were lots of cars in your life growing up… you’d have to store them at Coongarri if you bought them back one by one
