Hey guys, I have a 2020 Portofino that is 3y old in October of this year, so the warranty runs out. Should I extend? Anyone know what the cost is these days? Just looking for some thoughts … thanks!

I think it’s somewhere around 10k for two years bumper to bumper warranty. I’m in the school of spend the money as it’s transferable if and when you sell the car. If anything breaks it’s a free fix. Plus if someone is looking at your car it will probably sell before one without. Case and point ….. I recently added a 2019 Porto a few months back. The reason I bought this one is because it had the extended bumper to bumper warranty. Best , Kirk

I bought an extra year on my new 2022 Porto and got an extra year at no additional cost. It was 8k for that extra coverage so now I’m good for full 5 years plus the 7 year maintenance.

I recently bought a 2019 with 600 miles on it and the warranty expired at the end of this month (July 2022) so I added the 2 year CPO.

The dealer that I purchased the car from didn't think it was worth the money, tried telling me that if anything was going to break it would have already. I disagreed, at 600 miles the car has sat to long I expect to see some oil leaks crop up at the very least. I plan on driving it 6-8 thousand miles in the next 2 years with at least a couple of 2000 mile jaunts.

I would buy it as it is extending the bumper-to-bumper warranty for two more years -- everything covered. If the car's original warranty has already expired, that's a tougher call.

I'm in Canada so it will seem high to you, but was 13,400.00 CDN.

I was quoted about 12,500 for two years …. Seems absurdly high but of course this is a Ferrari. Do dealers markup like other warranties or is this fixed price direct from Ferrari?

Steve (SAFE4NOW) on here can give you the current pricing, he is a service manager at BoardWalk Ferrari. The dealer can discount if they want, whether they will or not is another story, because now you can only buy if if they scan the car in for service so there is very little competition unless you have multiple dealers nearby.

I think I at the time on my 2013 Cali 30 I paid $9800 for the two year extension but that was a few years ago. As I recall, before your warranty expires you have the option to extend the factory bumper-to-bumper coverage for one year or two years ... but you cannot do the one-year option twice, after the first year expires, you would be buying the limited new power warranty so it makes sense to buy two years. At the time it was $6300 or so for the first year, and $9800 for both years, which is what I did. Then $4400 annually after that, which I elected not to buy. I also did not buy the extended warranty a year ago for my 2015 California T and have not had any issues.

As I said, I think it's worth it for the full new car warranty, the limited warranty does not cover everything.

In June 2022 I was quoted $6k/year for my 2016 Cali T at Ferrari Newport Beach service center when car was in for the annual service. In June 2021 I was quoted $4.5k/year from same FNB service person. When I bought the car through FNB in April 2021 a two year warranty coverage was part of the deal. This circumstance may not be quite the same as for a 2020 Portofino, but may be relevant.

Prices have changed and I will create a stand alone thread to outline all the changes.

    To answer your question:

    $10,800 2 Years Extended Coverage
    $6,900 1 Year Extended Coverage
(Bumper to bumper just like the initial 3 year coverage)

As long as your Ferrari is still in factory warranty, the inspection process is pretty quick and we do not charge for the inspection.
The Ferrari does have to actually be at the Dealership to scan in and process, but its a day process at most.

    Hope this helps,

    Steve
