Does anyone know an alternative part to replace the existing headlamp ballast? Mine is a 2003 car and the part number appears on the ballast to be: 73772466 00852493 SOFT 1.05. I understand the 852493 to be the part number. I have emailed Valeo a few times without reply. Also some UK based specialist retailers. On previous threads there appears to be no part mentioned. The ballast on the car has a long wire out of it that connects directly to the bulb. I don't know if any other D2S ballast would work and not upset the cars electrics?
Valeo 89001411 appears to be another part number and was used on the Audi A4 and S4 of the same era, if this helps expand the information
