nice sound as I like it :) so if you go in the city with 1500 rpm the sound is discreet but when you go out on free street and go more than 5000 rpm it is like on a race track

    also: loud pipes save lives

Wow that actually sounds really good and so close to the sound I am after! I do have to say and not be negative, but that system looks less than desirable for my taste :(

My intent is to look absolutely factory with the tips etc, I do not want anything to take away from the stock authenticity of the cars look & appearance.

I agree with you Deuce49....I'm a purist when it comes body panels, etc. Even though that system exits out the center, you can see that the transition radius before it travels towards the center of the car....is right at the stock outlet area. So with less material involved, that system could exit out at the factory locations.

    IT SURE SOUNDS GOOD....

    Beautiful work!

Are you planning to have this system hide behind the bumper? The stock muffler totally blocks the view of the motor. It is a missed opportunity to show off the engine.

Yes, definitely behind the bumper however want the x-pipe visible through the rear mesh to add a little exhaust sexiness factor. It's going to absolutely gorgeous so I want to show it off a little if possible ;)

So for clarity, after going back and forth with my insanely talented local fabricator. We wanted to create a 2-sound system. Meaning have the ability to run straight pipes or race mufflers and effectively achieve (2) different sounds with a very "easy to change" modular system.

We decided to use top-tier quality full stainless race mufflers with v-bands and flanges to match the same straight pipes with flanges.

After test fitting a hundred different ways, we decided the best possible scenario is to actually place the modular straight pipe/muffler sections in the stock respective "secondary cat" locations. This would allow us to easily crawl under the bumper undo the v-bands and exchange the sections with ease at anytime and still be hidden by the bumper. Honestly I love this as I can change the tone at anytime so easily :)

After building tons or cars and race cars over the years, I always love some flex in the exhaust system, especially on Ferrari's like the 355 as example as so much weight is put on the headers themselves supporting the whole system. I like to remove some of that stress especially on expansion and contraction.

My fabricator tested a few options and came up with adding individual bellows which worked out awesome, this is going to help so much with the system and save my factory headers over time from stress.

Pretty nice welding, I find it really hard to make those welds in the sharp valleys.

this is only 1,6 mm - I think you will get a terrible tinny raspy sound. please post a sound video when finished.

I think with some elbows and also some welding the sound could be not so bad. I will let me surprise ;)

    Wow, love this thread!

Please keep us posted. Are you gonna remove the O2 sensors and the associated electronics? I read somwhere that leaving the O2 "computers" in the loom without the O2 sensors can make the TR run poorly.

Yeah, those Oxygen sensors are an integral part to the EHAs adjusting fuel trim for the KE-jetronic to work properly.

Yes, you always have to run O2's or lambda sensors depending on ecu's
