Are you saying both directions are flashing quickly or only one direction is flashing quickly? If it's only one direction flashing quickly (and the other direction is working normally) = this can be a symptom of one of the exterior turn signal bulbs being burned out (or has a bad connection and has stopped working) -- have you checked all the exterior bulbs (if it is a just one side problem)?

I replaced the turn signal relay today and all is working correctly. The car stil had the original Italian made relay although my car has all new wiring. I have enclosed two photos of the original relay which have impedance markings for the prongs that need to be correctly matched. While it may not be easy to read the two parallel prongs are marked 31 and 49 respectively and the center prong 49a. The top of the original relay says its indicated for up to 140 watts. The auto store had about 8 different turn signal relays and I was able to match the impedances correctly. I opted for an LED relay as I may upgrade all bulbs at a future date.
