During my annual service, dealer said it had the controller which I always leave open Valve on. exhaust.

They said it may prevent them from getting the extended warranty should I want to add on.

They also said that OEM valve closed up until it has higher RPM is designed that way to build more back pressure so there is more horsepower at lower rpm

I love the sound with the exhaust valve full open.

Any got the warranty extended with the Forza? Anyone have insights to the lower HP by having valves open at lower rpm?]

I have extended power warranty and bought my car CPO from Ferrari Central NJ with the Forza installed by previous owner and on the car.

Your service manager is pretty clueless!

I have the full extended warrantee on my 2018 488 GTB with the valves permanently opened. BTW the dealer permanently opened the valves when I bought the car new.

I have heard that opening the valves all the time you do loose a little at the beginning.

However I have no idea if thats true as mine have always been opened.

In stock form in race mode the exhaust valves are full open at 2850rpm and I believe 3k rpm in sport mode. When I need power I’m never that low in the rpm range. The only thing the Forza exhaust mod does is open the valves all the time….I have my vacuum line removed and plugged…same idea… above 2850 rpm there no difference in stock or Forza or pinned valves. So power loss is not even on the table.

The dealer installed it for me early in 2017 and has never said anything again.
