With the amount of utter **** Herbert says and writes about Max, I'm not surprised. And I say that as someone who used to idolize Herbert...
Ferrari finally using its heads, great teamwork to ensure Lec the pole, he had a chance for it even without it, but better to be sure. Lot of talk naturally about 2 v 1 tomorrow, but that depends alot on Perez. If Perez is off the pace, he wont be factor, simple as that. Ferrari with Leclerc will go medium-hard-medium Redbull with Max might go medium-hard-hard Based on the tires they selected, will be interesting tactically.
And imagine if RB and Ferrari already have their floors modified to meet the new “super emergency” “safety” rule change for “flexing” floors, and the Mercs—with upgrades—are farther back and now being challenged by Norris and MAG.
I don’t see a win this year at all. Hamilton: Win is ‘going to be a while’ if France F1 form continues Lewis Hamilton believes it is “going to be a while” until Mercedes can fight for Formula 1 wins if its France form continues after qualifying over eight-tenths off pole.
as mentioned, tomorrow looks to be a couple of 2 vs 1, Charles vs Red Bull, and Perez vs. Mercedes maybe? And Mercedes vs. Norris! Carlos should get in the top ten easy, hopefully passing some Mercedes too! Can ALO stay in the top ten? Still doesn't seem clear/consistent with Alpine, Alpha Tauri. Glad I don't drive for Aston Martin.
The viability is not apparent. It simply does not show consistent performance that could challenge up front
Jean recently said Charles was the reason for him to watch f1 in the last few years. Alesi might be an ex f1 driver, but he's a fierce tiffosi, from head to toe.
The right combination of DNF and grid penalties could propel Merc to the top step, especially toward the end of the season.
He's been really good since about Monaco this year. I said before the season started Ferrari has the strongest driver pairing but that didn't look the case early on with Sainz struggling somewhat and making unforced errors. He's been super all weekend again, but to make the podium he would need Lec or either RBR to retire.
Thanks Makes sense. They were using the name on the halo. I guess they changed to just the logo. Anyone know if there are laws in France about having alcohol sponsorships on car?
Won't happen. Lewis can't get close enough to the front runners to punt them out of contention. Maybe as they lap him, though that would be tough for even the most corrupt of stewards to overlook. Funny that the greatest driver of all time is relying on component penalties and DNFs to even have a shot. It's almost like it was the car all along...
I'd not bet on him betting the Mercedes. Yes, he's going to be much faster than pretty much the whole field, but it'll take him some time get to the front runners. Then against them, I find it it's going to be difficult to get past. It depends how fast Sainz can get to them.
