    F1 trans shifts fine in manual mode but AUTO mode will not engage. Any clue where to start looking? Actuator? Electrical?

    I would start with a battery reset then check "auto" button console with voltmeter

    Here's a wiring diagram of the internals of the panel (courtesy of Speedworks FRS).

    Basically, check the resistance between pin 3 on the control panel (i.e. which corresponds with the black earth wire... if you can see wire colours on the matching connector) and pin 6 (which corresponds to the pink wire on the car connector).

    i.e. Button not pushed = open circuit. Button pushed = closed circuit (0 ohms)
