    Hi all,

I searched all over the internet to find the Tenax fasteners for the cabriolet boot top. Mine had 4 that were not working and 1 that was missing the inner nut part. The Ferrari part number I found was 60727200. My original parts were marked with Tenax, GHE and 33 on the inner nut.

Here in Toronto, Canada, Ferrari of Ontario wanted $63 per piece. I found a number of suppliers for the British versions for a more reasonable ~$10, which I understand are not compatible. When I searched with the GHE and 33 markings, I came across a site called Trend Produkte Ersatzteile, that is Cologne based and deals in Porsche and Mercedes parts. They describe them as "Tenax upper part GHE 33 chrome 356 Convertible yr.mfc. 60 - 65", and are under 3 euros each. Here is the link. I have no affiliation whatsoever, just was pleased to find somewhere to actually be able to purchase them.

They do not have the black plastic Ferrari caps, and I have seen another post about someone gently prying them off the old parts using a wrench and replacing onto the new Tenax part. This is my plan as well.

Hope this helps someone else looking for these things!

I didn’t know these were hard to get. I’ll order some to have on hand. Thanks!

I didn't know that the boot top fasteners were black with the horses on them. My boot top/cover was purchased separately and may not be factory. Mine does have the horses, but not black, they are silver/chrome (metal). My boot top/cover is tan to match the interior. My car is an 88 3.2. I wonder if my boot top/cover is from a T.

I'll probably buy some of these just in case.

The parts arrived while I was away on vacation. Everything looks good with them!

I will give a try installing the black plastic caps and report back. Need to check the fit of the Tenax part on the car as well.

Mine is also an 88 3.2, which came with a tan leather boot with the black plastic horse caps. Seems to be original to the car since the lining is in rather poor condition.

Just to come back to this to correct my error, I checked on my boot last weekend and it does, indeed, have the snap covers that are black.

My boot cover seems to fit really tight, it has to stretch a LOT to get it to fit, hence why I thought it might have been aftermarket or for a different year model. Maybe is shrank? It does work, but it's tight... and it does have black covers.

    I have a 'parallel' Tenex/snap problem.....

I have all of the black capped (with horsies) fasteners all around the perimeter of my boot top. However, between the door black-capped fastener and the one at the rear-most 'point' of the boot (towards the rear of the car, next to where the engine cover meets the trunk lid), there are two snap fasteners that do NOT come through the boot cover. On my car, the 'female' part of the snap is on the edge of the convertible top, and those are all still present. However, on the underside of the boot cover, there are spots where the 'male' halves of the snaps WERE, but all of them were long gone when the car came to me.

I am probably looking right at the information, bu I'm not seeing it anywhere... Doe anyone know a part number for these snaps?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave
