Doesn’t matter where the hinges are as long as there is a B pillar, which given the size of the vehicle is a necessity for structural integrity. Back in the day I had an F150 extended cab with the rattle-trap suicide door.

There is no shortage of excellent engine engineers at Ferrari, so if Ferrari chooses not to develop the V12 6.5 L or any ICE engine (highly doubtful) it won’t be based on a lack of talent or technical knowledge.

Looking at Executive Technical bios and press releases is a terrible starting point and 90% fools gold. My association with the brand started with a call from a Japanese powertrain engineer who was head r&d. Therefore, if external transcendent talent was brought in you would likely never know it.

Your focus on engine configuration is a red herring as inherently there is nothing special in developing a V12, 8 vs 6 engine. Its just a romantic notion! Heck, I’m guilty too as I still view Bruce Wood as an 8 guy but Cosworth’s two latest V12s (Valkyrie & T.50) are remarkable.

Mr. Lieters was a passionate advocate for the V12 but a technical engine genius he was not. No further discussion on him is warranted.

Focus of my comments was strictly on developing Ferrari's first EV, so simple any accountant (Fulgenzi) can do it (apparently) or handpick a team to do so (again, so simple any accountant can do it, or maybe just anyone, but, is that the Ferrari way?)

Is it just me, or do these wheels / rims not look disproportionally small? Range Rovers now available in 23" rims, Levante Trofeo has 22" rims... what size rims are these? Will 22" or 23" rims be available?

Are we sure that the Puro will no have the B pillar? I think yes. It would be amazing but I believe tha B pillar is there. In my picture you can see also the tiny door handle for the rear door.
The absence of the B pillar would entail having to open first one the front door and then the rear one. Impossible.

    ciao

The latest Purosangue mule has a B pillar as seen in the picture. However, Marcel Massini who knows better gives us some wise advice saying that Ferrari could be cheating us with the rear doors that we see on the mule. Trusting this mule's picture the Purosangue will have B pillars and this seems logic also from a structural resistance point. If Ferrari is cheating us then there are only two possibilities. Either the Purosangue's rear doors are suicide or normal. :)

Yes for suicide doors. No for the absence of B pillar. This is my feeling. B pillar + suicide doors as for the Rolls Royce

Comparing the forward door edge shapes front and rear, it’s obvious the rear doors are not forward hinged. With a forward, vertical hinge-line set inside the body—like almost every car in the world and the front door on this car—the door opening pretty much looks like the a section cut of the body surface projected onto the door.

Here, with the front of the rear door being a straight line, albeit angled back, it is clear that that door is not forward hinged. As made, the rear door would not be able to rotate under the front door.

Remember new crash regulations for side-impact, the extra amount shown is likely built into the door per new regulations...soon we will know :)

I prefer to trust my dear friend Isot: I was told there wasn't any B pillar, but I did not see the car in detail and maybe my source was not accurate, so thank you Isot. Did they add it later? Isot picture shows there should be a B pillar.
Massini knows a lot about very old cars: the Purosangue isn't an old car.

    Ciao

Need to use the taller drivers instead of shorty to diminish angina from worrying about how tall it will be.
