I know this is a tough one, but does anyone have or know someone who has an original 308 clutch hub( the piece which locks against the pulley when the magnet is energized) for a york compressor. My pulley and magnet are fine I am looking for the outer piece. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm aware of the sanden units and if I can find what I need my AC will be back to working great.

    Thanks for any leads, info.

    Single or dual pulley?

The rivets are loose and the 3 spring tabs have lost there ability to pull the clutch hub away causing a metalic sound when not engaged and slipping when engaged.

Took it to a clutch shop and the person is saying they can repair it but with no guarantee up to a month and wants a lot of money.

The hub with the pulley and the clutch the pull in part are a matched pair, you cannot replace one without the other or at least resurface. very much like a new clutch and resurfacing or replacing a flywheel for a gearbox clutch. only replacing the outré portion is a short term solution as it will slip and burn up. Maranello has a duel belt system that will still work with yours as a complete assembly using only one belt Part number 105148 but its going to run you about $450

    Good luck

The pulley in those shiny compressor seems to be designed to operate in the opposite direction. Due to the specific Ferrari contra-rotation, proper sanden conversion are not cheap whereas a brand new York ER206R (R is for reverse) is a cheap equivalent of the original Aspera. The more beefy ER210R is even easier to source (grabs more power though).

Jensen Auto on eBay sells refurbished clutches for $83 and he correctly lists the Aspera HG850, so could be worth an eMail.

As a side question does an original used Compressor minus the clutch and pulley from a 77 GTB have any value?

I would say no, there are better modern compressors available. Maybe in the case of doing a concourse car that needs to be exact, but only in that situation. I tossed the one I had left after I sold the clutch to dwhite above.

Now that we have refurbishing kits for these compressors, I would say they do have some market value ($200-$400?).

    As said:
    1) they do not grab as much power as a york 210 (less noisy also but less powerfull)
    2) they look different
    3) they use metric screws for the mounting

Also they are easy to service.

Is your compressor/clutch applicable to an '85, if so PM me with the price. Trying to find an original clutch for the new owner of my old car. Thanks

OK.. I had a look at the clutch after digging out the compressor. It does not appear to be in very good shape. The clutch may need to be rewound to make it work. I'll take a picture and post it in a few minutes..
