I want to put something into perspective. Micheal joined the Scuderia in 1996 and he just barely won the championship finally in 2000. If we compare this to Charles journey it is a similar timeline. I think the Scuderia are on a good trajectory. Some of the team are not used to fighting for a championship or used operating on that level. Charles and the team will learn and mature. Michael had already won multiple championships before joining the Scuderia. Charles is fighting for his first. The team still needs a ‘Todt’ to add to the ‘Brawn’. Binotto needs help. Ross had it and we see how they became a juggernaut.

1996 F1 champ Damon Hill says that Carlos Sainz strikes him as more the Ferrari team leader than Charles Leclerc.

Speaking on Sky Sports F1’s ‘Any Driven Monday‘ show, Hill acknowledged that “Charles is clearly quick”, but beyond that, it appears to him that Sainz has a better grasp of guiding the team in terms of strategy.

“Carlos has struck me as actually the more of the team leader,” said Hill. “He seems to be more familiar with the strategy, seems to be able to make decisions.”

Not me. I particularly don't care for his "insight" into anything current having to do with F1.

I like Button and Rosberg in the commentary to include Di Resta. Everyone else just doesn't "ruffle" the feathers.

I think Ferrari should run it like they stole it. I also think CL will sort himself out. To me he is the best technical driver. Max probably has the best package. I think CS is a split between them. Forza Ferrari. If not this year then next. Nothing comes easy.

He’s totally biased and has a chip on his shoulder because non nobody (rightly) considered him even close to having Schumacher-level talent. As for Sainz, besides causing himself a 5-second penalty last weekend, his understanding of strategy is to just ignore what the team says despite him not always being right. Does this make a team leader? I don’t think so.

I do wish Charles would stand up for himself just a little. That Ferrari politics environment is very Italian.

LOL you think Christian is the reason of their success? He’s like 4th on the list.
Ferrari simply need a good strategist. That’s it.

If the management can’t see that all they need is a good strategist, then I would suggest the entire management team also needs to go. Clowns.

I don’t agree. It’s the same team who have made massive gains since 2020. The need additional talents to balance out the weaknesses.

    Lol to you.
    4th on your list maybe.
    Chech this info:
Christian Edward Johnston Horner OBE (born 16 November 1973) is a British former racing driver and current Team Principal of the Red Bull Formula One team, a position he has held since 2005, winning nine world titles (four World Constructors' Championships and five World Drivers' Championships).
    Since 2005 9 tittles!
Him or Toto, wouldn't mind either one.

I love the internet: it shows human misery very well. Here you always are hearing that Ferrari overreacts, the media puts too much pressure, the Italians, blah, blah, blah. But when anything goes wrong the same who said that are the ones asking for some head cutting.

Todt had many cock-ups before winning, Binotto deserves more time. But his credit is not unlimited either: he´s still recovering from his latest cock-up in 2019.

At least you know cv of J Todh very well.
Former racing driver, and motorsport director for very successful Peugeot rasing teams in late 70/early 80.
Among others his team won 24h Le Man.
Arrivabene nor Binotto have non of this, whatsoever, though they have other qualities for sure.
We can not afford another rookie.
Horner seams to me the best option.
    All the best

You have googled Jean Todt. Google more: the Ferrari of Todt forgot a wheel in a pit stop.

Oh, BTW, if you google Toto Wolff you´ll see that he didn´t win anything before Mercedes.
