Is a Dino a Ferrari? Was Dino Enzo's son, and this is the most beautiful car Ferrari ever made! Signed, Confused in the PG, yet proud of it
A deep thought follows from Mr. Mandinga, wish I had them, darn! "@Mandinga Ferrari still doesn’t consider this to be a Ferrari, oddly" Mmhm, could it be 'cause it IS a DINO? Regards, Alberto
I was probably “dropping kids off by the pool”, so legitimately indisposed, but relieved that everything went smoothly and the new record came.
Thank you, so basically does that mean if the buyer doesn't show up with the money or if the seller refuses to deliver the car Bat has no obligation and also nobody will know the final result?
Exactly. Once an auction ends with a successful high bidder, BaT charges the high bidder their fee and high bidder and seller are connected by BaT, but from that point, there are several scenarios that can play out.
Correct. The buyer's credit card is charged immediately at the end of the auction. It is then up to the buyer and seller to determine payment, shipment, title etc. all of the usual details. If the buyer attempts to renege or if there is an issue of misrepresentation, BaT gets involved. Should BaT determine material misrepresentation by the seller, the sale is cancelled and the buyer's premium refunded. If BaT determines that the buyer is a bad actor, the buyer is banned and the commission is forfeited by the buyer. When a high bidder flakes, BaT will contact the underbidder to try and work a deal.
...then, if the buyer is banned, he / she can go get his Mom's credit card, different PC, start the game all anew. Not very difficult, nor extremely policed. Try that at an Auction House, when they have your banker's letter of due diligence. Most banks, take these matters very seriously, specially when backing 6 or 7 figures. You can always write BaT for assorted queries, but it could take a looooong time to get (and if) a reply if you are a nosy PG type or a non bidder.. Regards, Alberto
A non lightweight base coupe would not attain 50% of the C and F GTS. My prediction here.......$375,000.00 to $425,000.00..Maybe $450,000.00 any one else picking a final $$
A bank letter of guarantee as required for major auction houses only states you have $x available at the time of the statement and is completely unenforceable beyond that. Why do you keep posting nonsense?
Joe, You bring out the best in me, after all you are the expert, aren't you? So why have a bank guarantee you have funds today, yet gone tomorrow? Please enlighten us. Regards, Alberto
Your claim an auction house is somehow less susceptible to bidders flaking or shilling is just not correct, that’s all. The bank letter is no more binding than a credit card on file system BAT uses and it doesn’t prevent games being played…
Wait a sec.....Is the side narrative here that ...Possibly this sale will not ever take place..That this entire auction is a ruse for inflating values of 246 cars in general... Kinda , Sorta Like....History repeating itself ?????
You can never wake too early around here to pull the wool over any Fchat members...We collectively are officially the Scotland Yard of the Exotic auto biz!
