I just wanted to preview my 308 to the community, it will be up on BaT shortly. If anyone is seriously considering pulling the trigger on a 308, this car is worth waiting for. Rosso Corsa over a tan interior with contrasting brown dashboard, armrests and seat piping. I bought the car in 2015 from Bobileff's consignment inventory, the car was owned at that time by FerrariChat member Jon Warshawsky, known on the forum as Bullfighter. It currently has 20,209 miles on the clock and just received an annual service along with a comprehensive timing belt service. All of the work was performed by Scuderia Performante in Malvern, Pa.. It is a beautiful, well maintained, well cared for and highly original example of a classic Ferrari. Thanks for looking.

Good question, a quick search of the internet yields no results.

I made my initial submission on June 14, I've tried to push them along and get it live by the 23rd of July. The auction manager says that is possible. In any event, it should be up in the next two weeks, last week of July or first week of August. Thanks.

Just curious as I track these sorts of things for some people I know. Your BAT wait time was about 6 weeks? I guess they have cut down their backlog quite a bit if that's the case.

That is a very interesting point and entirely correct, just shy of six weeks start to finish. The only things I can point to to have expedited the process was my diligence in responding to them in an immediate and timely manner, as well as providing the information for the written text in their own BaT format, which sped the writing process and consequently required virtually no back and forth give and take.

Interesting, they must have relaxed their copywriting guidelines. Generally speaking my understanding is their consignment experts would only deliver pertinent info to the copywriters, but would never deliver a seller's description (no matter how accurate). Once they had the draft they could adjust it, but I always understood their strict policy was they would not accept outside copywriting under any circumstances.

They seem to like to have a "parade" of cars of a given model, meaning, always one 308 and one 328 listed, and as soon as one hammers, put another one up. Perhaps they moved you up to keep that parade in step.

I provided the information to them utilizing their format, but in no way shape or form did they use it verbatim, Whatever processes they have in place, I just think it helped to speed things along. The copywriter did thank me for providing the info with such ease and detail. Your point about vehicle mix is probably an accurate one.

The brown leather dash is the only one I’ve seen in a 308. I bought it off the floor at Ferrari of San Diego. I remember thinking at the time it was far and away the coolest car there.

I missed the final bidding on your 308 for sale. I’m in the Philly area and I’m
Interested in seeing the car if you haven’t worked out a deal.

Christopher, lovely red/tan 308 deserving of a good home. Just curious but what is Bring A Trailer's (BaT) policy with relisting if reserve not met? Are you put into a penalty box for a period of time (e.g. 6-months)? Also, does BaT have any influence in setting the reserve price?

With another red 308 QV (w/ black & red stripes interior) listed thereafter I guess it will be a while before 'BanzaiRacer''s 308 QV Prugna comes up live on BaT.

Yes I did work out a deal with the high bidder. The actual sale price is just below my reserve, in the low six figure range. It is a real shame that such an outstanding example appears to people to have been such a failure at auction. It creates a false data point going forward as to the real value of a car like this. I kid you not, if everybody that contacted me after the auction would have actually bid on the car, it would have been a successful auction. Thanks
