    Hi there
After having washed my 308qv spider with a hose the car fired up with great difficulties and wouldn’t idle properly nor run on all eight cilinders. Also a smell of gasoline comes out of the exhaust when running…
    Anyone a guess?
    Thanks

Seems obvious that some part of the ignition system got wet and that created a problem. More than likely it will go away once everything dries out. Could be a chore to debug while everything is wet, but you may get lucky and see clues (spark jumping, etc).

Check for wet distributors, and connections.

Wait till this evening (after dark). Open engine cover, start car and observe the light show! :)

Thanks for the advice. Will wait till dark and watch. But :
    Just tested all spark plugs.
Rear cilinders: 2 and 3 give no spark.
front cilinders : 2 gives no spark.
    Rather strange?

While you are waiting for it to get dark you can remove the distributor cap(s) and dry them out. If you do so, I'll wager your problem will go away before dark.

If moisture gets inside distributor cap, this will and can cause your issue. Dry it or spray WD-40 should fix it.
