1962 S1 GTO updated to S2 1964 specification by Ferrari/Scaglietti in period so 100% authentic as an S2 250 GTO.

AHA! I see, so I wasn't TOTALLY wrong! ;-) Was the original body damaged or simply updated?

Said never to have been crashed.

Below is an extract from RM Sotheby's 3413 description, a link to which you posted in the auction thread.

    Correction of the above.

With reference 250 GTO 5571GT's chassis plate in post 107 (see here) of this thread, the plate with 250 GT/L is actually correct, as 250 GTO 5575 also has 250 GT/L on the plate, as confirmed here.

    from post #129 - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146146938/

RM Sotheby's Ian Kelleher and Marcel Massini have done a great job on the history of 3413 including Dr Whitten's ownership of the car:

    3413 GT.

Looks a bit jacked at the back? Perhaps the suspension needs to settle after being rebuilt? I'm sure Paul Russell knows what he's doing.

Beautiful. I know many don’t agree, but I hope they keep the livery off. It’s perfect as is, in its clean form.

Probably discussed ad nauseam already, but; the nose looks a bit "tight-lipped" now compared to the b&w pic; is one grille more 'correct' than the other?
