TDFs are perhaps my favorite, and '59 is MY year! Maybe an F-chatter can write "she who must be obeyed" a note saying that I NEED one?

I've always thought that the TdF and Daytona were very kindred in their vibe, and thus, of all the pre-365 cars, the TdF is the one I would most love to have (putting aside all consideration of market value and rarity).

It must have been way ahead of its time. You wouldn’t think that is a 59.

My neighbor in Boulder had a 1960 250 SWB. I think he paid $8500 for it from an ex-service guy at a gas station in Denver. He also had the original motor on a stand and drove the car all the time with a different motor. It was in his garage with no special security and under a loose cover with bicycles laying against it. I had wondered about the car when the fires hit Boulder in December. I just found out today he had sold it a couple of years ago for a large number. Jerry was getting older so I'm not surprised. His house was lost as was our "forever" house even though we sold it a couple of years ago. He did lose a Van Gogh he had in the house. Super nice and generous guy. I was sad to hear he lost his house but glad the car was saved through a previous sale.
