Hi guys, I saw somewhere that Mike Tyson owned a white 348. Is it true ? Do you have any info about that ?
A few mentions of it online, including one indication that he may have ordered it but not have taken delivery https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/mike-tysons-348.174903/#post-137231703 https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/ferrari-348tb-nothing-to-prove-but-alot-to-lose.4376362/?id=4376362
Considering how much of a "trainwreck" Tyson is, Why would anyone want a Ferrari that Tyson may have owned? Maintenance and attention to detail are essential for the 348. And Tyson is very limited in his intellect and awareness. Very likely a "basket case" Ferrari with nightmares in your future!
LOL seriously? It's been nearly 30 years since the last 348 was made. Unless Mike still owns it, and it's parked in his garage somewhere, you MIGHT have a point. sjd
It's like the mystique of british cars... 40 years on from pretty much the last of the MGBs, and the internet and aftermarket has solved all the "problems" with them. If it's out there and being used/driven, it's LIKELY had any Mike Tyson problems solved....LOL. Now, the new owner on the other hand... sjd
My knowledge of Mike Tyson is that he did own one of the few convertible Koenig Competitions around 1990. The car was then sold to a gentleman in Florida. His nickname for the car was the "Slutmobile" ... LOL!
From what I've read/seen, Mike Tyson had a habit in his heyday, of buying cars, and just giving them away. So it could easily be the case that he ordered a 348, but never drove it, and instead, just gave it away to a friend/associate.
That car has been for sale here in the UK for the last 5 years + at least, via a couple of sellers. They are either determined to get silly money for it, or no one is interested in it (until now maybe)
